It almost sounds like he groomed her, gave her all this info, got pics and dirty chat and so on and then decided not to meet her? Which of course it is far preferable to not abuse her in person, but if she then took off to "lay low in Vegas", was he setting her up for someone else? Or did she decide to go find him on her own? Or they didn't meet because she didn't make it there?

She can't rent a room at 15, and she cannot legally stay in a room unless there is someone over 18 who is responsible for the room charges.

Unless MM perhaps set up a room for her. I think LE would have figured that out by now and hotels and casinos would be on the alert for her, as they certainly do not want to be associated with allowing a child , child molestation situation to be occuring on their property.

She appears to be buying a Stila lip liner product.

She doesn't look like a 15 year old who wears or tries a lot of makeup and lip liner is a product that is not really going to enhance her fresh young look.

I just keep wondering if one of these creeps gave her an order to buy something like this then send him photos and she is showing how she is complying with his demand. It bothers me, the docile, passive look in almost all her photos, save the outdoor one.

This is actually a Stila liquid eye liner. It looks like she tried it on her left eye, and she’s showing it off. Sometimes the Ulta makeup artists will help do a wing or eyeliner to test the product on a shopper. I really don’t see anything nefarious with this photo. My teen daughters love Ulta & Sephora. Maybe this was a special treat for her to get a nice eyeliner.

This poor child. Her interest in studying forensics was mentioned. I wonder if she thought she was solving crimes or something strange along those lines and got drawn into something talking to all of these disgusting creeps?

I'm not shocked there are so many of them out there online, but hearing that she herself seemed to have been requesting one kidnap her and so on does shock me. It could be she was caught up in something by then from talking with the others, but I also wonder if she thought she was playing detective or something too based on the "studying forensics" bit. Anyway, it makes me even more frightened for her. Who knows what else she may have been up to, and poking around? What a nightmare this has to be for her parents.

One comment from Alisa that stands out to me is the one she made to the guy in Texas, shortly after arriving in Provo.

"I'm alive. Don't respond."

There was absolutely no context given around why this message was sent. Makes me wonder if it was even her who sent it. When you have to send a text saying you're alive...you're not.

The "I'm alive. Don't respond." message is definitely worrying. Was the guy being demanding or starting to scare her? Maybe it was starting to feel too real and she was getting cold feet from actually meeting up with someone and she was trying to put an end to dealing with him by telling him not to respond. If so, that would make it even more worrying that she has not been seen. JMO.

I'm not sure I understand your gut feeling take on this, as if there was something else going on at home that she was inadvertantly involved with and was fleeing from?

However, this story has a lot of twists and unexpected turns. I am not surprised to read there is a third male contact, I suspect there are more. However, it still is not making any sense to me and I fear that she has not been able to safely hide out for these last 6 weeks, and has been harmed or is being held against her will.

I can understand wondering if she had been exposed to something, or abused by someone previously as this is all very hardcore. I have to say I could see how an older guy could set someone up with younger pictures of themselves, or "love bomb" that kind of thing but the themes we are hearing here don't really mesh in my mind either with the idea I have of most young teens in relatively stable situations.

He resembles an older and more clean-cut version of Darin Schilmiller from Indiana, the one who played millionaire and ordered abduction and killing of an Alaska girl.

Has Menard been physically found? There is a phone, a lawyer, but where is the man?

What concerns me is that there is no sighting of Alisa and this man has also been not seen in person.

What also concerns is 1) the school. Where is the gap between Alisa walking in and out and no one noticing that she's not at school? All day long?

I can imagine that she can walk inside, sign herself in and walk out given that the other exit door to the store might be open. And the teachers may not notice that she is missing assuming that the secretary has sorted that out, and all that the secretary sees is that she showed up.

But the kids? Should she have a single friend that got concerned? Any close girlfriend?

I wonder if she had any friends in school?

This is the first huge, huge question to the community.
