:blushing:
Also, this from my buddy at STP via PM (the thread is dead):

"Kinda rules out foul play, I guess. I wonder what drove her to be up there? I actually want to go out with my boots on!. Unsure why the footwear thing stands out to me so much.

Hypothermia seems like an easy answer, poor diet, drug & alcohol use, poverty etc can all contribute to hypothermia not to mention the lack of footwear, outerwear, wind break etc. The weather in that area isn't really that cold even at night for a 6.5 hour train ride. You would think that a healthy, sober person with atleast some socks/sneakers & a jacket would survive that trip. Its been 75-48 degrees with no precipitation, sure the train travels at speeds up to 79mph & it gets cold but.....

I wonder if there was potential exposure to sulfuric acid via the pressure relief valve on the tanker. It could have caused breathing problems if in a mist form, causing pulmonary edema. Pulmonary edema is another symptom of hypothermia.

Will they do an autopsy?"

Aw, I love your STP buddy. It seems pretty clear from the diagram in that first link that she probably got the pattern of the lines and "shoe print" on her back from lying on that grate.

You'd have a grand view from up there on top, but the wind would be fierce. The chill factor would be well below freezing. Hypothermia can come on rather quickly and it interferes with your rational thought, so possibly by the time she realized it was too cold, she was too confused to do anything about it.

Also, there's a phenomenon with hypothermia where you start to feel warm even while your core temperature is dropping, and you take off your clothes. Winter hikers have been found mostly naked. If she started taking of clothes, they'd have blown away quickly.

He's coming around for sure. I just sent him the link to the doe network case about the Annandale Jane Doe

Taking off her clothes is definitely an interesting possibility!

Years ago I went on the back of a motorcycle with a half helmet. The faster we went, the harder it was for me to breathe normally. At one point I felt like I was gulping in air.

I wonder how fast those trains go. Although, she had the option to turn away from the wind if she had trouble breathing.

Was an autopsy done?
Was exposure to sulfuric acid via the pressure valve a possibility?
Were there any signs of sexual activity?
What time did the train pull into Milford?

Just emailed him with these questions listed above

Maybe you could ask him if there's anything we could research that would help him figure out who she is?

Oh, that case! I'd love to see that solved.

Any luck getting any media outlets to cover this?

The guy I know at a Las Vegas TV station (from another Las Vegas case) said he was turning the tip over to the news department for research. Hopefully he'll let me know if they decide to air something.

I'm still working on the local-newspapers aspect. Probably take me a couple of days since I've got a writing deadline coming up...

Hey, I'm a writer too! Currently relieving deadline-related stress by spending way too much time here.

Heehee. I'm trying to get a novel ready to enter in the Amazon breakthrough novel contest. It does not have dead bodies in it. But the other one I'm trying to finish does! :D

That's much more exciting than my writing. I mostly write about health and medicine. No dead bodies though.

I love reading about health and medicine. Fascinating stuff going on in research these days. Stuff that would have seemed like science fiction only a few years ago.

O/T: You know, that I added most of you to my friends list and I did look at your "about section". I did notice that you guys were writers, and I thought to myself, "Yep. I'm not a writer so I must be one of those "boreda**wannabedetectives". I feel under-qualified to be here all of the sudden. lol

We all have different skills and perspectives and we're all needed. There are literally thousands of unidentified and missing people who need our help to get home. The only qualification that matters is caring, and you've got that a-plenty :D

Well, Thank Ya! I appreciate that. I agree. These people, no matter how broken, misguided or lost they were; deserve their identity. I'd hate to go missing and be forgotten, or wind up dead without anyone knowing who I was. However, it's the families we do this for. Not only the UID's themselves. Sadly, the dead can't "feel" the loss and hopelessness of their family. And someone has to make sure they go home and give their loved ones closure. I'm honored to be here with all of you making that happen. <3

Most of my skills come from the year I worked at an auto loan place. I did a lot of skip tracing work finding people and cars. Have 2 friends missing and 2 people that where close to my family that where victims of homicide so I know all about how investigations and ultimately trials work. I also worked in underwriting and claims for almost 20 years at an insurance company and went to nursing school so that's where my medical term knowledge comes from. We all have picked up skills in life's journey I'm sure. Just never thought I'd use them this way but I'm glad I am and hope I can help with what I've learned/lived in life.

I always say that everyone deserves and name and every family deserves closure. Amen.
