...Mr. Shaffer said the focus had been protecting him against someone throwing a bottle or even rushing the stage with a handgun. Stopping a shooter from hundreds of yards away was out of the question, he added.
“It is virtually impossible to defend against a shooter 200 yards away,” he said. “You’re just not going to see them, unless you have counter surveillance and counter sniper teams.”
