I have a question.
How would the perp know early where exactly the tent was to be situated?
I mean,
if he made earlier reconnaissance to choose the "best" spot.

Or,
was this particular roof adequate for any place of the tent? 🤔

Prior speaking engagements at the school, someone with inside knowledge (teacher, administrator, student who is a member of a student group, etc..). We've seen teachers and professors at schools get fired recently for supporting this murder, so it's not entirely out of the question that a teacher/administrator at the school could be complicit.

More generally, the surface area of knowledge of the location of the talk is probably quite large.

Edited to support my statement above:

his father driving him to the police station makes me wonder how young the shooter is exactly.. it seems to me like you can tell your teenage son “okay, this is what we’re going to do” but it would be harder to have a much older son cooperate after killing someone. jmo, could be completely wrong.

I wonder if the father will get the money? Not saying he brought him in for that reason but I think he deserves it for doing the right thing.
Donate the money to the Kirk family, that's the honorable thing to do.

Relieved.

RIP. Miserable horror. I hope this IS him and it's not another mix-up. If the father brought him in, I doubt it.

Can’t imagine being in the father’s position here, assuming it’s true. Knowing full well that you are essentially leading your child to their eventual execution.

His father is a police officer

'Minister in law enforcement went to US Marshal': Trump explains how suspect was foundpublished at 13:22

As we've been reporting, Trump told Fox "someone very close" to the suspect turned him in. He then explains how this happened.

Trump says a minister involved in law enforcement went to a US Marshal, and they took it from there.

"Things may change, but facts are the facts, we have who we're looking for," Trump says.

Even if the son refused to go with him, I think the father still would've turned him in, regardless of age.

The suspect in the killing of Charlie Kirk is "28 or 29" according to Trump, who is still speaking to Fox News.

Previously, authorities had said the person of interest was "of college age".

Is it definitely his dad?

I read the quote as "father" in the church sense rather than parent but not sure.

Trump also said that "someone that was very close to him turned him in," adding a "minister, father" helped in his capture.

“Somebody who was very close to him turned him in,” the president said, saying it was relayed through “a minister who was involved with law enforcement.”

I do think this information being revealed by Trump should really come from a law enforcement press conference.

Hopefully the news conference will clear up any confusion.
