The suspect in Charlie Kirk's assassination has been identified as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah resident.

New York Times reported that the suspect was taken into custody around 11pm local time in southern Utah on Thursday night. The alleged shooter lived in a $600,000 six-bedroom home in Washington, Utah - around 260 miles south of where the carnage unfolded in Orem.

Where I come from we don’t jump off rooftops, but get pretty good in trees. As a righty if I’m letting go one-handed the strong preference is the left hand. Same with most righty gymnasts FWIW.

I thought about it for a moment and I agree, if I’m dangling one handed my preference is to hold on with my weaker (left) hand. Possibly to help balance/break the fall more effectively?

I don't really care to hear about his life story. I just want to know that justice will be served, and we don't have to live like this anymore.

Whether this is the shooter or not, I sadly believe there are many more radical killers in the USA preying on the innocent. Only through justice will society change. The wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind exceedingly fine. Perhaps one day we can live in safety.

I understood that a “minister” recognized him. The minister went to the father and the father convinced the son to turn himself in. imo

As we've been reporting, Trump told Fox "someone very close" to the suspect turned him in. He then gives more details.

Trump says that person went to "the father", who went to a US Marshal - "who was fantastic by the way".

Trump says the "person" - presumably the person who recognised the suspect - was a "person of faith, a minister".

"The father convinced the son," Trump says.

Trump says he may need to be corrected, but he's talking "based on what I'm hearing".

Asked to clarify, Trump says the father, "namely his father", got involved, and said "we've got to go in".

"They drove into the police headquarters, and he's there now."
