As we wait for the details, did he just walk home?

Is he going to be  that local???

JMO
If he was that close to home, it makes the disposal of the gun in the woods that much more surprising.

As for now the only person in custody is American.
True, Hexe.

Oh, That's "the mouth" from the first set of photos yesterday.

That is definitely him.

I'm feeling for anyone who has the same name as the perp while people are searching online to find info. Hang in there, Tyler Robinsons who are not the perp! :(

I have a feeling we will soon know everything. How he escaped, his whole life story, his confession to the father, how his father detained him and took him in.
I think the family will have provided counsel by now. We won't know everything, but I wouldn't want to be his defense atty.

New York Times reported that the suspect was taken into custody around 11pm local time in southern Utah on Thursday night. The alleged shooter lived in a $600,000 six-bedroom home in Washington, Utah - around 260 miles south of where the carnage unfolded in Orem.
I expected someone from a nice life.

Sounds similar to Luigi.
So far, it sure does.

I know others say they are not curious about him, but I am.

ETA: My interest is from a true-crime point of view, not because I like the perp. I hate having to clarify that, but this topic is touchy. I despise violence and people who commit it - don't misunderstand my curiousity, thanks.

This pic in the DM article looks just like the stairwell pic.

Really fascinated to know more about this guy, he is unlike any killer I have ever encountered, cold as ice reels off one shot and then calmly goes back to his parents house, no hiding out as a fugitive like Luigi did etc

The father “secured” his son - I’m thinking with handcuffs. imo

The box is bizarre as well. I'm sure we've all seen enough crime scene/evidence pictures to know that they photograph the weapon as it was found... It was found in its/a box?! The shooter carried the rifle into a wooded area and popped it in a box that was already there? Like why would the crime scene tecs pick up the rifle and place it in a box for photos? I've never seen that before. The feds stated the weapon was wrapped in a towel - where is the towel in the image?
Also, when was the weapon discovered does anybody know? It seems dark in the photo and like a flash has been used, or a torch... I thought they found it in daylight hours a few hours after the midday shooting? Maybe the trees make it seem darker, I dunno.

Who actually released the photo of the rifle that the media are reporting? Was it the feds? I have only seen them describe the weapon used and I've seen a lot of people with much more knowledge than myself of firearms, state that the weapon in the picture doesn't match the rifle in a box image that is in the media 😑

Now we know where his shirt came from. What a disrespect to his mother to wear that shirt while committing murder.

I would say at gunpoint while he, or his wife call the police, police officers have to leave handcuffs and the like at their workplace when they finish their shift
