When the roommate showed LE the messages was that after roommate contacted LE about them, and if so when?
Or when LE went to interview roommate and then roommate showed them?

It seems to have been fast so I think it’s entirely possible the roommate went to LE on his own.

Regardless, this guy exhibited the exact behaviors that Miller suggested. These guys typically can’t help but talk.

Probably. That's why I'm not buying when people say "it's only a fringe celebrating" this time, when a few months ago it most definitely was not just a fringe who celebrated when the exact same thing happened. You can try to come up with a qualifier to justify murdering one innocent person in cold blood but not another, but the two crimes were really not that different.

That's my fear.

This perp is caught and will never be free, but others are online right this very minute in whatever chat groups they are involved with, being manipulated and manipulating others to take violent action.

The more places he visits, the greater the probability of being caught on camera. If he changes his clothes, his movements are harder to track.

I think he's a loser but I don't think he's a basement dweller. He is educated in a professional field for one thing and obviously physically fit enough to pull off the assassination and escape.

Oh yah, don't get me wrong, the kid pulled it off "well" enough to have us all tilting our heads. I'm more talking about the behaviour - the messages to his little pals in the server about the rifle being in a bush. The furry meme discord uwu talk on the casings... That to me is discord basement dweller behaviour.

I honestly don't think he had a deep reasoning for this crime - he's gone out and killed a man (in a very tactical way) that I think DEEP DEEP down he couldn't care less about, because it was an opportunity to "be someone" to be FaMoUs and to brag to his little server mates. Like people mention the Mangione case (ima be careful here as I've been warded away from voicing myself online about it) but there's a difference. No matter how one feels about that case, there was a clear and concise message. A "reason" that was clear and that many (even if condemning the act) could somewhat understand.

I honestly think this dude went and killed Kirk because he thought people would think he is cool.
