I didn't want to just thank you for your post but for your signature line. It is so true. Just because you want to be with a guy doesn't mean that can or will be a father to your child. This case (and too many others) remind us of that.

Thank you for saying that DairyGirl!
It's something I feel very strongly about.
I've reached beyond my limit of reading story after story about sweet innocent children who are simply thrown to the wolves because Mommy Or Daddy are only wanting what they want and not what their children need.
I know there are some great people out there who can find it in their heart to care for anothers child but..... IMO the risk is to big to take the chance. There's just some kind of sick thinking in some men who view a woman's child as the enemy, this is also true for some women who can't stand to share "their man" with his child.
One thing I like to suggest to someone is to think about having a stack of 100 dollar bills. Would they leave the house with them sitting on the table with your boyfriend alone with them.
Now if they say they would not do that, why in the world do they think they can trust that same person with such a precious life?

Stephanie knew what she was doing when she brought Ethan to that apartment of hell, she did it willingly. If she had 1 oz of caring for him she would have walked away and let him have his life with his father. Selfish and Evil combined.
Have we seen 1 bruise on her from fighting to save her baby? Do we see any sign of tears shed for the mourning she's done?
I hate her I think even more than I hate 🤬🤬🤬 NS, she's the one who had the responsibility to protect her baby, she's the one who chose to deliver him to the devil, she's the one who ignited this entire crime against humanity.
So what if Ethan died, after all she could always have another right, what's the difference between that or the ones she miscarried. Plus it was a way to strike out at her ex.

Received a response from Troy Rawlings' office this morning regarding my email about how the bruising on Ethan's jaw did not appear to be a fresh injury (contrary to what SS claimed), that he did not die and become "cold and stiff" within that two hour time frame (as SS claimed), and that his injuries had to have been present when NS's mother visited and claimed Ethan was ok (I asked them to consider looking into that and charging her as well).

"Thanks ___. Your input is intelligent and well stated. We are on it.

Davis County Attorney’s Office"

I have a good feeling about this man. I think he's going to do right by Ethan.

Thanks for doing that Calliope. I sure hope that woman didn't just ignore bruising if she saw it on Ethan. She could have been his life line out of that house of horrors. And I also think if a parent sends their child for a visit and then suddenly can't talk to them. Call Police and have them do a welfare check on the child. This is in no way criticizing the father, because no one could ever have thought this heinous crime was being committed. I just think it is one of the things we can learn from this. jmo

Me too! I'm remembering Casey Anthony case and how careful the prosecutor had to be with his charges because of 'double jeopardy'. If Stephanie is charged with murder and the case can't be proved beyond 'all' reasonable doubt, and she is found to be not guilty, that's it, she's off the hook for all of it. Can't ever be retried again for that crime even if she confesses to murder, she's a free woman. moo

Wish we had a legal beagle person here to help us understand if the charges against Steph are considered to originate from the same crime. So if she is charged with child abuse or kidnapping for the death of Ethan and found guilty, can she later be charged with murder or will that be double jeopordy. Anybody know? TIA moo

You can't be tried for the same crime using the same evidence. IANAL, but I believe if the State finds new evidence they can bring charges.

Even if charged with murder and not found guilty, she can still be tried in civil court (think OJ), or possibly Federal (think officers re Rodney King).

I'd be interested in seeing an attorney weigh in on this.

OMG - police office to exotic dancer - This woman is full of contradictions that are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Wonder if there is anything cohesive about her. moo

I was taking a break from this thread, but couldn't resist a comment about her desired livelihoods.

That is the first thing I thought of when I saw her model site.

goodmorning everybody! So, it is 1006 in Utah so we have an hour until the presser?

Calliope, thanks for posting that response you got back from the SA's office! That is very encouraging to know that they are on to stephaniefreakingsloop

Eh. It just gets better and better. She's a real piece of work.

She brings a whole new meaning to Beauty and the Beast. She is both wrapped into one.

Oh I know, but Civil court is a far cry from criminal court - and what possessions could she possibly have that would even come close to compensating for Ethan's life?

Can't imagine what new evidence the prosecutor would come up with and whatever they have now would be visible through discovery.

I don't feel like debating this and was just wondering if double jeopardy might be the reason we haven't heard of a murder charge for Stephanie. I wish one of our legal beagles would weigh in on double jeopardy - just wondering, that's all. moo

It's now 10:18am Utah time. (Easy way to remember..1 hour ahead of pacific and 2 hours behind eastern). The presser should be starting at 11am, and from what I hear..Nathan and Stephanie will be in court at 1pm.

heir first court appearances are scheduled for Friday and security will be tight, said Deputy Davis County Attorney David Cole.

People are expected to picket outside the courthouse and call for the harshest penalties possible. On Facebook, the group "Justice for Ethan Stacy" is approaching 15,000 members.

Not sure I understand all this about mom! What is it people what his mom charged with? I'm sorry, but at this point, I feel that's a waste of the prosecutor's time. Once again, I will say as I usually do, let's focus on the real perps! Moo Mho and all that stuff!!!!
