Crying with no tears... Where have we seen this 1,000 times before. She called her mom before his parents? I agree, she needs acting lessons. Also, her complete lack of emotion today shows her true nature.

FWIW I'm not convinced the fentanyl was in the drink. I don't know how she did it but I suspect she watched him die. She would not risk him being able to call for help. Or if ingested, throw it up or not consume it, etc.

She watched. She wanted him to know she was killing him and there'd be nothing he could do to stop it. Granted, MOO. But she's heartless.

Her performance was... performative.

Defendants who are so obviously guilty decide what their facial expression is going to be. They are stupid because they don’t realize that it isn’t natural to have a resting facial expression for hours.

She is using manipulation tactics and she is failing.

I wish LE could make it a point to get close to possible suspects to show that there are no tears.

How old were the boys?

The sister recounted how after they got to the scene, Kouri only finally broke the devastating news to her three sons, then ages 5, 7, and 9, after they spotted his body getting taken out of the house on a stretcher.

That whole time (on the bodycam) she doesn't need a single tissue, not even wiping her hands or nose on a sleeve.

She's dead inside. MOO

Has the body cam been seen by any of you before or is this the first time?
First time for me, and quite telling. She can't seem to hold onto her story in parts. 'On his back, on his side...' Poor man, and so sad for his children. Glad they have an aunt and uncle who obviously love them.

IRRC, authorities never tested the cup/container! However, given the ME determined Eric orally ingested five times the lethal dose of fentanyl (non-pharmacy grade), I think he did drink it in the mule, and KR only needed to listen for signs of life. She went back to the bedroom, knowing he'd not stirred for hours-- long enough for his body to be cold to the touch! Yes, 3 AM would fit the bill:

Richins made Eric the poisonous drink — that contained five times the lethal dose of fentanyl — that evening and then left the bedroom, only returning after 3 a.m. to find him cold and unresponsive, prosecutors say.

Just like a devastated wife would be:rolleyes:

No primal instinct of a true distraught wife.

Nate Eaton does a super job. He's quick at texting too.
I didnt follow the Lori Vallow Daybell trial(s) so this is first for me.
And a HUGE thank you to arielilane for the bite-sized summaries throughout the day! You have no idea how much this helps me follow along. And to the many insightful and sometimes humorous reactions from you all - that makes such serious trials easier to digest 💗

She is wicked.

Catching up now on today’s testimony and I underestimated this judge’s ability to keep everyone in check. Defense seems subdued and efficient. I thought they would be nastier and histrionic in line with their client. But there’s still time, it’s only Day 1.

Eric and Kouri’s marriage seems odd to me. Prenup, her business/his business, trust, house not under both their names etc. What kind of marriage was this?

Oh and yeah she’s COOKED! Just based off the state’s opening statement about her conduct. Wow wow wow. And then Eric’s sister comes in and finishes it off. I’m already convinced of her guilt. This is not a case that I’ve been following too closely and I’m already blown away by what I’ve heard so far. I’m still at the BIL’s cross.

Oh and I’ve got my eye on Bloodworth. He’s got the knack for drama. He’s a dying breed as far as prosecutors go. He understands the theatre of it all. The ending to the opening statement was so dramatic! lol

Wow, what is so unusual? He was a rich guy, with large family assets, very successful business, and he's marrying a woman who might turn out to be trying to get his money. She's not the high school sweetheart. Neither is young. It was a "bun in the oven" marriage iirc (and normal caution would wonder if she got pregnant to get him to marry her).

IIRC he had been married before, right? Or was it her? Or both?

These docs are all the normal ones needed for having cautions built into the mix of a man who is entering a marriage because it seems like the right thing to do, and kids too, but not willing to give her title to HIS assets he had built if she turns out to be a wacko golddigger. (And from how things evolved, from early on, it looks like getting his assets was EXACTLY what she was aiming for all along.)

Oh FTLOG

KR really wanted those kitchen glasses tested, didn't she? Her attorney, belaboring the point.

He was the responding officer, he wasn't the subtotal of the investigation.

Who knows how KR got ER to ingest the fentynal. Only KR abd ER know.

And he's dead.

pretty sure the fentanyl was in the Moscow Mule
