We're back to gummies.
Ugh. Why does it even matter?! Maybe he did have gummies laced with fentanyl. But he didn’t take them. And hadn’t taken any in a long time bc there was no THC in his system.

AS's testimony is significant. The prosecution is definitely establishing KRs' mindset and potential premeditation leading up to Eric's death.

Judge to defense: lay your foundation

Defense: I’m working on it

Over and over……

How did ER die from fentanyl laced gummies without having THC in his system?

The source of the gummies line of questioning isn’t working out well for the defense.

How did ER die from fentanyl laced gummies without having THC in his system?
Exactly!
Tox results: The medical examiner testified that there was no THC detected in Eric's blood or gastric contents.
Cause of Death: Eric died from a lethal dose of orally ingested fentanyl, measured at five times the lethal limit.

Defense is trying to introduce KR's testimony through this witness.

Call your own client to the stand.

We're getting a glimpse into the Defense's case in chief (this is out of order direct -- witness is from out of state).

It's not going to go well.

Of course everyone laughed about the sandwich poisoning. No one believed it wanted to believe she was capable of murder.

The prosecution is solid. In MOO they are presenting a solid dense case. They've nailed the digital evidence, financial motives, and witness testimony.

And in M00 the defense has failed to neutralize them. 😅

State disclosed--

Witness had an appointment scheduled with a juror's spouse, scheduled prior to trial, spouse did not come in.

Seems like a non-issue for both sides.

Long day but the State is apparently going to rest on Monday or Tuesday, with Detective Driscoll as their last witness. IMO he will be a strong witness, still tie it all together.
