Some of those are searches I've made myself!

If I was judged on the random things that pop into my head that I want to know the answer to, I would look suspect. Such as: What are the unsolved Rte 29 murders in Virginia? What does it take to do a perfect crime?

So, it all depends on UNUSUAL searches and when exactly they were done - that is, the proximity of sequence of events with the murder. I'd say only 75% of those are sus.

"If someone is poisoned how does it go down on the death certificate as”

Her internet searches, plus het fanatical attempts to wipe her phones/icloud clean, tell me all I need to know.

A curious question to ask before those would be in the know knew.

If what she wrote about her childhood is true in that self help retreat she took w her BFF I am speculating the folowing:

She describes her mother as having a gambling addiction.

She describes instability and constant moves from house to house.

Could her issues with poor money management, financial irresponsibility, the need to be or appear wealthy, and obsession with collecting McMansions and holding on to her own family residence, come ultimately from her mother's obsession with gambling combined with her fear of housing instability? Did those factors from childhood, if true, in part, create the narcissist she is now?
I think there was more to it. She had home stability in her marriage. She didn't need to work, as Eric provided for the family.

She wanted more money fast, and she thought that flipping houses was easy money. It wasn't. In fact, it looks like Kouri was addicted to buying houses looking for the big win.

Well, Ramos gave us a glimpse. Real Housewives. Guess there was an arrest of one in and about that time.

That's one search, with a potential ecplainaway.

While conveniently ignoring the others.

Maybe KR will feel compelled to take the stand and attempt to explainaway the rest.

If she did, it would be as entertaining as aggravating.

But also ridiculous.

Well this is weird

Defense opening statements (timestamp 6.10)

"Now on March 3rd, Eric started sending excited texts before their celebration, to Kouri, saying hey let's get together, let's have some celebratory shots, slide 7 please"

View attachment 650609

"Thank you. 'You wanna grab lunch today with a celebratory shot?' "

View attachment 650610

"That was Kouri saying she can't, that she has other plans. But he's excited. He wants to celebrate about the big closing. "

Carmen Lauber picked up the second lot of drugs from Robert Crozier on the evening of Saturday Feb 26th (confirmed by cell tower mapping). These texts between Kouri and Eric were very clearly on the morning of Wednesday March 2nd, not the day of the poisoning, contrary to her attorney's assertion. Kouri probably wanted time to invite people over on the evening of the 3rd, and see how well they were getting along.
We know what Kouri says they were celebrating, but what did Eric think they were celebrating?

I honestly don't know how to wrap my mind around this case. I haven't been following it diligently like some others. It wasn't a case that really drew me in from the get go. But I have been watching bits and pieces of the trial and to me it seems like most of the evidence is motive evidence.

However, I recall the state's opening statement emphasized that Kouri was the only one there that night (aside from the children, of course) and she is the only one with the means, motive, and opportunity. In that sense, the state's case is won. As long as there is definitive evidence that he was not a habitual drug user and he did not procure those drugs himself she's SUNK. She is sunk just by logic and process of elimination. And I think that's why the state is focusing a lot on motive. If the defense case in chief brings to light anything that raises doubt as to Eric's drug habits, I think the state's case is in trouble.

If the defense had anything showing he habitually used anything harder than weed, they would have mentioned it in their opening. moo

We know what Kouri says they were celebrating, but what did Eric think they were celebrating?

And where was ER when these texts were sent? Can we be sure he was in possession of his phone?

KR invites distrust.

If ER did in fact send the text, your question is spot on. What lie did KR tell? Hard to celebrate $4.5 million in debt so we know she didn't tell him the truth.

Backtracking a little: What do you make of the 15 minute interval between when her phone was unlocked or moved and her calling 911?

Sorry, just watched the video at the house at 3:00 am.

How could she do that to her children?????

Yes Crozier confirmed it was Fentanyl. He changed his evidence on the stand, which is why they played his police interview.

Thank you for that link! I wondered how they would tie the drug dealer to fentanyl.

In the video, the dealer said he gave Kouri's friend M30s. During the trial, he mentioned blue pills.

A quick online search says that M30 is a small, round, light-blue pill designed to mimic 30mg oxycodone tablets, but often contains lethal doses of fentanyl and other synthetic opiods.

My interpretation is that the dealer sold Kouri's friend M30 pills that looked like oxycodone, but were laced with fentanyl.

Kouri still owed Eric $250k for the line of credit she fraudulently obtained on his house in 2020, so I doubt he would celebrate spending money without first paying that debt.

I'm guessing she claimed to have sold one of her other properties, so he said they should have a drink to celebrate. It sounds like Kouri had a drink for every occasion, including a dead husband.

When she was drinking to her dead husband, she was quite likely drinking to all that money she expected to inherit, money from the sale of his house, and a $33,000 monthly income from assuming control of his share of his business. She had it all figured out. I do not believe that she knew about the trust - which is why she went nuts when she learned about it.

What day is that? I would like to watch it too ... I'm catching up on some trial days.

I need to watch more of the trial to give an opinion. From what I've seen, the prosecution seems to be telling a linear sequential story as it unfolded over time - but not sure.

Kouri's financial problems provide motive. Her online searches imply guilt. Her connection to the drug dealer who sold tainted M30 pills connects her with fentanyl. She sure looks guilty.

What about you? Thoughts?

I thought this same exact thing - addicted to buying houses. I also think that Eric made her feel small, like her place was to be home with the kids.

It sounds like they’ve had marital issues growing over several years and she felt trapped. Maybe if she was perceived as super successful, she thought she’d be on Eric’s “level” (or even superseded him) and he’d look at her as more of an equal?

Were those texts still on his phone or were they retrieved by police.
He could have been in the shower she could have texted both ways and then deleted them so he didnt even see them, Wonder if they can tell if he was home or if they wee both in the same place? It’s only 7 minutes between texts.
