Zero days. You can report someone missing immediately anywhere in the US. But many citizens don't know that and this could have happened in this case.

You are correct that many people still think one has to wait 24 Hours.

BBM:

Precisely.

This is why I consider an arranged meet-up with "Dude X" to be the likeliest scenario.

It would also explain why she texted her mom to say the plane had landed safely vs. texting her mom when she arrived back at her place to say she'd made it back home safely.

It may also explain why alarm bells didn't sound for her roommates right away when she didn't show up back at their place.

JMO.

(I'm really appreciating your posts in this thread, GordianKnot. Your thought processes are very clear. Thanks to you and everyone.)

One location for the map. Sorority address at the below link. Not an entirely bad area. Expensive homes....but...the homeless and crime was pushed out of downtown. As a result they have scattered all over the valley. And so has the crime. I get a feeling that this case is personal in nature.

Thanks, SuziQ.
@otto
Thank you otto as well.

I am just hoping and wishing she is home safe and sound
asap.
Her family must be extremely worried.
My thoughts are with them.
No time for conjecture on my part right now.
Chi

Her poor family must be just absolutely frantic. :(

(Marking this post to reflect upon)

After reading through the entire thread and seeing she had a love interest that started pretty recently , and getting into SLC at 1am after what must have been an emotionally exhausting funeral I'd imagine she would much rather spend that night with someone that could hold her and comfort her than her roommates. Being that the relationship was so new it's possible she had never been to this recent love interests home before and was only given the address that night. She plugged it into the Lyft app (possibly incorrectly) due to it being 1am and was then dropped off at what she thought was the right location. Walked in only to find the true owner shocked that someone was trying to get into their house late at night and something bad happened they are now trying to cover up. Other scenario along these lines is she put in the correct address and the Lyft driver dropped her off close to the right spot but not quite and she just assumed this was the place and again tried to get into the wrong house late at night and something bad happened. On flights it's often hard to keep your phone charged so her battery could have been almost dead by the time she got in the Lyft and it died on the way. Like others were saying. Hopefully once the cops have her phone data it will figure out what happened. If she truly did have a new love interest, why they aren't speaking up is concerning though.

Has there been any info given as to whether or not her bank account has been checked for recent activity?

I’m still catching up so haven’t seen anything yet on this, but I will say this Standard Procedure in a MP investigation, moo.

The answer lies with Lyft records, and not just the driver.

Those Rideshare apps track everything, so they wouldn’t have to rely on a driver’s memory, as they would a taxi driver.

well that's if the Lyft driver was legit

ETA: nm - just read further & it appears there's no suspicion in that direction

This photo video montage is well done. Kudos to whoever created it. I can’t say I recall a video flyer done quite like that. I can see this really reaching and capturing the viewers in a new way.
Technology can sure be great sometimes (emphasis on the word “sometimes”).

Anyone else notice from some of her pictures and the short video I posted above how gorgeous her eyes are?
I'd say at times she wears lash extensions.
Jmho
Chi

yes she posted on her IG or FB that she does wear extensions

A RadarOnline.com call to Lueck’s phone number went unanswered and she didn’t immediately respond to a phone message.

(Oh God, not Radar Online...)

I take that back. Whoever assists in helping to create and promote publicity, well I can’t fault that at this moment.

(ETA: I just had a Sheriff Leazenby flashback and was like, oh nooo, please don’t tell me our source is going to have to be Radar Online...)

ETA2: Oh no, here we go:

Radar online saying Kenzies phone went unanswered and didnt immediately respond to a text seems weird.
Are they saying that there was some response on her phone after they sent a text?. Just not immediately and Kenzies phone was not dead ringing?. So had charge?.

ETA3:

“A RadarOnline.com call to Lueck’s phone number went unanswered and she didn’t immediately respond to a phone message.”

What were they expecting her to do? Call them back right away?! “Hi, this is Kenzie...you know you guys are first on my list as far as people I want to call back...I just wanted to let you guys know personally that...”

Well I suppose there is value in knowing it is going to voicemail at the moment.

This is a good question re: the charge and how long did it ring. I’m afraid I might have been a little too hard on RO.

Agreed, except that they spelled her name wrong.

(Oh my goodness! And I even didn’t even notice. I’m embarrassed now!)

ETA: I guess I was so focused on her pictures, which ultimately is the point :) :)

There has been an update posted on the Find ML Facebook page that says her drop off location was in North Salt Lake. So the address she gave to the Lyft was not her home address.

Thanks.

I think that’s what most of us suspected.

Ok guys, for real here. This case has just potentially taken a big turn IMO. Again, I use the word “potentially”.

This is exaaaaactly why people like @chihuahua who help get the word out to Truckers on the road, etc are especially important and special in a case like this.

I hate to jump the gun and get all panicky, and I’m still catching up and trying to understand wth that is all about.

As we know SM is off limits as well so we are on shaky ground TOS wise.

Alerting and giving a strong heads up to the mods.

SO concerned for Kenzie now :(

Thankful that due to lyft, LE does know where she went...and surely there will have to be some trail (text, call, instant messages, something) leading up to her visiting the address she went to.

Kenzie where are you?!

Okay folks, thread is open again for LIMITED discussion.

A number of posts have been selected for moderation so they will not be seen. I spoke with Tricia and she has asked that there be absolutely no discussion about either the pictures or the associated social media account on the board until she has a chance to review the information later tonite.

Please, if you see someone refer to the removed posts, please Report as quickly as possible so we can deal with them.

Thanks.

This is a weird one, in part, because we know so little about the circumstances of her disappearance.

The way this is going though, with minimal information being shared, I’m far more confident than usual of a happy ending here.

I think that in the near future, we will hear something to the effect of “Kenzie has been located safely, and she is no longer considered missing.”

So what, or who, is in North Salt Lake? Was it a residence? Business? Bar? Restaurant? Did the Lyft driver see her go inside any building? Were there any people outside?
