All I know is that you don't drop in on someone at 1 a.m. without some sort of prior communication. If she went to a residence, police must have some idea of who she was going to meet. But, if she had a car, why wouldn't she go home first and then drive to this place?
Maybe he was going to drive her home? I hope it was a big apt complex because if so hopefully lots of cameras.

If the wedding was family, maybe her family was waiting or (hoping) to see if by some chance she would return back to California. Now that that time has come and gone perhaps they might start speaking out about her disappearance. JMO I’m at a total loss as to why we’re not hearing shouts from the rooftops!

The wedding is July 23, not today.

maybe she was dropped off at an apartment complex in NSLC so LE are unsure which occupant she went there to see? Unlike a house where they would know who owns it right away. MOO
Good post.... This "looks and smells" like the most likely explanation at this time....moo

I don’t have FB, so I asked that question earlier and posters told me it was today! Well... I guess that theory is out! Lol

Friends try to find missing woman Mackenzie Lueck with questions and Lauren McCluskey on some minds
SABBM:

Police have not been searching for Lueck in North Salt Lake because they have no evidence she remained there, Shearer said.

“We don’t have anyone searching any particular area right now," Shearer said, "because we don’t have any credible evidence of where she might be.”

There’s no evidence Lueck is in danger, Shearer said, “other than the fact she hasn’t been heard from.”

Fine said she didn’t know why Lueck would go to North Salt Lake or anywhere other than home. Fine assumes Lueck was meeting someone, but doesn’t know who.
Lueck had no significant other, Fine said.

Interesting updated article.

LE could not possibly be signaling any more clearly that they believe ML is voluntarily missing at this point.

JMO.

From above:

““We don’t have anyone searching any particular area right now," Shearer said, "because we don’t have any credible evidence of where she might be.””

—-

So why not any searches near the area where she was last seen? I would assume LE would be doing this and has done this BUT:

See, I’ve heard Tim Miller talk about this, how TES works with information from LE, meaning they don’t just go blindly search some area, but this statement confuses me in the sense they don’t have any credible evidence of where she might be, yet we do know Lyft has definitive records of where she was last seen. Therefore, is it fair to assume they think she may have left wherever it was she once was?

ETA:
Never mind, duh it says they don’t think she remained there. My bad.

ETa2:

So she went somewhere and whoever she went to see said they left. Classic.

Or

It was some kind of bar, etc.

Haaa, yeah I just double checked myself.

She had already purchased a plane ticket though.

Thank you for checking that!

It’s not against the rules to date someone that is not LDS.

I am LDS

Perhaps she was seeing a guy who was not LDS. Isn't it against the Mormon religion to date someone who is not Morman? If someone knows can you please chime in?

Even if there were "rules," her family is not that strict.

The wedding is July 23, not today.

The wedding may be July 23 but it's been said that she was supposed to fly back to SoCal today, June 23. Though different months, the similarity in dates may be where the confusion is coming in.

Ok, so this is where I’m confused! Is this information from a credible source? TIA!

I believe the destination holds the key to her being missing. Only Lyft driver, Lyft Corp and LE know the destination. I wonder if the family knows? Im thinking they don’t because of privacy laws since shes an adult unless being a possible in danger missing LE are allowed to tell her parents. Maybe there’s a gag order on the destination? Does anyone have the answer to this?

My GUESS is that the family May Not know! It’s entirely possible for LE to keep families out of the loop for their own reasons of preserving the integrity of the investigation.

Then again, they may know.

There’s an article way back which says July 23. Sounds like a misprint moo. It’s back in the early pages, @liltexans even referenced it and the confusion.

I’d have to back for the source but it’s there.

Been mulling this over for a few hours and what keeps popping up in my mind is LE’s comments. Or really, lack of comments.

-they aren’t releasing the Lyft destination
-they aren’t organizing searches
-they haven’t said what she was wearing or what (luggage) she had with her
-they haven’t held a presser
-they said they are aware of the friends pc but didn’t confirm or deny any of the info
-they don’t know if there’s been any foul play
-the family hasn’t spoken publicly
-all the publicity/SM appears driven by the friends only

For now, I’m disregarding the friends comment, bc although they mean well, I don’t believe they know any more than we do.

The biggest question is WHY doesn’t LE seem more concerned?

Nicely summarized!

I think the police have a pretty good idea of what happened and where she is, just no solid evidence to lock it down just yet.

I wouldn’t even be surprised if the Lyft driver isn’t really “cleared” at all, but LE says they’re cooperating so that everyone is thrown off the trail while they gather proof.

I haven’t seen this, and it would be a very important detail to leave out. Do you have a link to where you read it?

This is what the Heavy article said:

Fine told KTVX-TV that Lueck was planning to return home to California to visit her family again on July 23 and bought plane tickets for that trip.

Ok, thank you! I guess I missed that one. I’ll go back and see if I can find it!

Don’t listen to me though, I’m just seeing massguy’s post:

:D That makes two of us! We can let Massguy figure this out... he’s like a bloodhound on a scent trail! Lol

Well, to confuse it more:
June 23 (today) is a Sunday. Not a usual day for a wedding?
July 23 is a Tuesday. Not a usual day for a wedding?

Ok. “Houston we have a problem.”

This is in the link that Heavy referenced:

Ashley says the trip was to go back home this weekend to see family in California.

“Things aren’t adding up,” said Fine. “She had another trip planned. She didn’t make that trip so far.”

So this friend IS saying that she was planning to go home this weekend (right now, not next week).

So she’s either confused, or there are two trips.
