You are absolutely correct in saying this! MOO. We really have NO idea if she did in fact have a new love interest. However, I believe that could be a likely theory and this person could be a secret from everyone at the moment. Maybe she wasn’t ready to divulge who she was seeing at the moment and just testing the waters if it was a brand new relationship. I really hope she is just stressed and needed some time away. JMO

I agree. Absolutely.
In fact I will just add that most families and friends (including bf's etc) are strongly discouraged from posting on social media after LE is working on the situation. Of course, after someone goes missing, they often turn there to try and find them. But after that, until and if there is an official "page" set up to help find the person, it's generally best to stay off sm and keep it between them and LE and family and friends. (I do think there is a page for her, but I am not on it nor am I promoting it)
I say again, if anyone has a tip, please phone it in and don't post it here. And if anyone has any inside info, please get verified before posting it. Thank you all.

So many questions!
1. Is there video of her entering the Lyft? Cross checked with her clothing/appearance and the origination airport and SLC airport? We need to be 100% it was actually Kenzie who got in the vehicle.

2. When was the Lyft requested? Just after the plane landed? Hours or days in advance? Was the destination ever changed in the app?

3. Cell phone pings?

4. Final destination?

5. Are roommates 100% sure she didn’t come home? Were they awdake? Could she have possibly come home, thrown her stuff in her room and left again? If her room is messy, or she only took a small bag of clothing, they might not know what she took and if it’s missing.

6. Some of the language of the quotes and the message from her family give me the feeling it’s possible she’s voluntarily missing. “If you can hear us” “we don’t yet know if she’s endangered”. What has her mental health been like lately? How are her grades?

7. I’ve seen nursing degree mentioned here a few times. Is there an msm link for that? Her fb says she is a phlebotomist.

Police say they are still investigating the Lyft situation to determine whether Lueck actually did get into an official Lyft car.

Det. Michael Ruff with the Salt Lake City Police Department says that the police are seeking to establish communication with Lueck or communication with anyone who may know her whereabouts.

“Whether she’s endangered or not that’s a tough thing to say right now. We are just treating it as we’d like to find her and we are just trying to track down any leads right now,” Det. Ruff says.

Police are trying to determine what happened after she got off of the flight from California.

“We want to try and contact her one way or the other if she’s missing or she isn’t we need to make sure she’s okay,” Ruff says.

“Just really unlike her to not answer a phone call or a text for four days. For your phone to be off for four days is very alarming,” AF, a friend of Lueck, says.

This is a very real possibility.

ML had just been to her grandmother's funeral.
She also had exams coming up at school.
Both are potential stressors.

ML may in fact just be hunkered down somewhere, hiding from the world.
She may have turned off her phone intentionally.
She may not want to be found right now.

Not saying that's likely.
Saying it's possible.

It would not at all shock me if we find out she's been voluntarily missing.

Salt Lake Valley PD is notorious for being quiet when they have a pretty good idea of what happened.

Also no foul play. So it takes longer I think to get Approval for subpoenas etc for information. No foul play/ no health issues in Kenzie (that are known) to give just cause for searches... maybe that’s why everything is so quiet. She is 23. And unfortunately being a missing adult is not a crime.

Lyft confirmed that her trip went as planned. Police will confirm that independently - that it was MacKenzie who actually entered the vehicle, that it was a Lyft vehicle, that she arrived at the intended destination, etc. Hoping they find lots of surveillance footage and get her phone data ASAP if they don't have it already... MOO

You're not missing anything at all. You've summed it up perfectly.

Lyft is saying the rider arrived at the intended destination.

LE is saying they still need to verify that ML took a Lyft vehicle.

LE is just doing their due diligence, and verifying the info Lyft has put out there is correct.

I'm confident it will be verified by LE that ML did in fact get into a Lyft vehicle.

Not sure what being a "verified insider" entails and not sure I qualify. Her family lives in our town, my older son knows Kenzie and graduated with her although they weren't particular friends, he knows her older brother, my younger son is friends with her younger brother (just saw and waved to the younger brother a few weeks ago), although my son is attending school out of state right now, and I know "about" the family because our kids played on some of the same sports teams growing up. My husband knows her uncle; he used to be a cop. Other than that, I don't have any "inside" info. Just praying Kenzie is found safely and this was a voluntary veering off the path. Her "missing" announcement has been shared on multiple hometown FB pages, and both of my boys found out Kenzie was missing through Instagram, so the news is being posted there.

I think you would qualify. We have to back up everything with a Mainstream Media or Law Enforcement link. Or be a verified insider.
