IMO, I don’t think she went missing voluntarily. I think she went exactly where she entered for Lyft to take her early that morning. Not to be disrespectful at all but maybe the destination was to a sketchy place where she’d been before and for that reason she didn't tell her roommates, friends or family that she goes there?

And maybe she didn’t go missing when she first arrived at that destination, but perhaps it was later during the ride back home (or to wherever) from that destination?

Just my opinion

I am thinking the same thing, or something happened right when she got there. Jmo.

If her "destination" was a hotel would we have known that by now (via MSM or LE)? Is that a "destination" LE would want to keep to themselves?

grasping at straws here...

MOO

That's no straw you're grasping: That's a great thought.

It's entirely possible her destination was a motel.

<modsnip: quoted post was removed>

Why would she be going to this area?

I just don't think she would go to this particular area to lay low for a while. Jmo.

I'm sure people are wondering about their relationship.

That is probably why she said it.

Not odd at all. Jmo.
I’m not so sure...ML had a lot of bad relationship quotes on her SM. I get the impression she had a rocky relationship end somewhat recently. We don’t know who it was though.

Okay folks, thread is open again for LIMITED discussion.

A number of posts have been selected for moderation so they will not be seen. I spoke with Tricia and she has asked that there be absolutely no discussion about either the pictures or the associated social media account on the board until she has a chance to review the information later tonite.

Please, if you see someone refer to the removed posts, please Report as quickly as possible so we can deal with them.

Thanks.

Just bringing this post from the mods forward in case anyone is new here and hasn't read it.

Search continues for U of U student Mackenzie Lueck
---
"As police work through the evidence on their end, Lueck’s sorority sister’s from the University of Utah continue their search."
---

So, for all we know LE is pouring over CCTV footage from businesses and what nots in the NSLC area and perhaps all her phone records/pings.

Would LE have the cell phone data this soon if she was reported missing on Thursday?

I’m not sure if it’s been posted but here’s her Pinterest:

I think it was posted earlier on. She hasn't pinned anything recently as far as I can see.
It's clear to see that giraffes are her favourite animals! That made me smile ☺

Probably not. It would take a warrant and time.

But I wonder if she was on a family plan with her parents and they can access some info. They would be able to see phone calls, some of who she texted, and maybe usage amounts before it was turned off. I purposely keep my teens phones under my name so that I am the only owner and can request or authorize access. God forbid it’s ever needed!

I wonder if LE has spoken to the flight crew. Could they surmise a state of mind? Was she chatting with fellow passengers? Did she seem like she might be under the influence of anything? Did she order alcohol during the flight?
I’m sure the Lyft driver was asked similar questions. He was also likely asked about what conversations they had and if she was on her cellphone. If so he might have overheard parts of a conversation that would be helpful to LE.
Early on there was a lot of discussion as to why the Lyft driver/company only used the term “destination” as opposed whether he took her home or not. It is important to remember that when you give Lyft/Uber/taxi an address, that is it. They have no idea what the destination is or why you are going there unless you volunteer that information.
Having been an airline pilot for a number of years with a lot of "deadhead" flights in the cabin to get to where my flight was picked up, I know a fair bit about flight attendant's interaction with a passenger. Looking at what flights come into STL from LAX that time of night, it's likely she was on a smaller regional jet. This means less flight attendants on board which means they are super busy doing the snack/beverage service. Given it was likely the last flight of what can be a very long day (being on duty 14 hours at a stretch is common in the industry) unless a passenger was behaving very oddly or in a disruptive fashion, they likely would not remember a single passenger's demeanor or actions. Once the beverage service is over cabin crewmembers generally return to their jumpseat and don't walk through the cabin again unless a passenger call light goes on, or it's time for the arrival safety checks.

They will drop you wherever you want. I also don’t understand why there wouldn’t be a search or canvas in that area. Businesses, gas stations, convenience stores all have cctv these days. It tells me that LE May know more about who she was meeting and why she went to that location.
Thanks for the info! And that’s a great point as to the CCTV in areas. Surely LE is checking into that aspect. If her drop off location was a residential area, do you think they will be asking for residents to look at their security cams or such?

An Uber or Lyft will drop you off anywhere you ask, as long as you have an address or location. You do have to enter a destination when you order the ride, so you can't just hop in like a taxi and say, "take me to a bar." You have to enter a location first.
Thanks! I was wondering about having to enter a location first. That clears it up for me!

Kenzie's disappearance made the front page of Fox's online news site. Hopefully, the attention will bring her home.

Where is Mackenzie Lueck? Here’s what we know about the disappearance of the 23-year-old University of Utah student.
Fine said Lueck doesn’t have a significant other and she didn’t know why she would take a ride to North Salt Lake, instead of going directly to her home.

BBM:

AF is reportedly one of ML's best friends.

The fact that AF says she doesn't have any idea why ML would take a ride to NSL is an indication that ML has some things going on in her life that she doesn't want those around her to know about.

Some people are really good at compartmentalization.

I'm thinking ML may be one such person.

JMO.

This is an interesting thought - there is only one hotel in the area where the address is actually listed as North Salt Lake. There are some close ones in Woods Cross - but there is only one actual hotel with North Salt Lake as their address.
