If he died from injuries while walking from the accident; Then he would have been found by now. Jmo.

Unless none of LE search dogs are worth a grain of salt. Jmo.

The ex needs to watch out. Because his sister and brother in law fame will not save her from dying by a relative of so called celebrities. Jmo.

or an animal got him, but I think there would have been a scent trail. It seems most realistic that he got into a car or picked up if the dogs can't smell a trail

A animal will not eat his clothes without regurgitation and some kind of caucus behind. Lol. Unless it was a dinosaur that flew off with his body.

So either he is not dead in the area. Or the search dogs are not good ones. Jmo.

well, the animal could drag the body off somewhere remote, depending on type of animal

Does anyone know what kind of animals/wildlife are in that area at this time of year?
Antelope, Coyotes, Mountain Lions, Rattle snakes, Vultures, Bear although that doesn't look like a good habitat for them. The snakes depending on the day time temp this time of year are most likely laid up for the winter. The rest will still be up and about.

True. But where's the clothes. They just had to remove a 3lb hair ball from a lions insides because the lion who had mass hair was licking it through out the years.

So swallowing this guys clothing would have been regurgitated and found by dogs by now. Jmo

Sorry it's way to hot for moose, they may still have a few loose camels running around though.

Questions

1. Why does it matter whether he is entering or exiting? I mean really? He was there, he is on tape, at that time and date....
2. Perhaps LE is ASSUMING he could be intoxicated since he was known to be that severe of an alcoholic? I have a brother at that level...he has to have 3 beers in the morning instead of morning coffee!
3. One would not think to take their COOLER INTO a store and load your booze right up, where anyone can see what you are doing? Right?
4. Has the clerk given any statement? It appears the clerk was the last one to see him 'alive'. Well the clerk would know if he was intoxicated, what he purchased, did he use the bathroom? Did he purchase any food or snacks? Did the clerk have any concerns over this man? Or did he seem like any of us, trying to get
where we needed to go? If the clerk felt he was impaired, would he have reported him?
5. If he wrecked between 3:30 am and when it was reported at ?7:30 am, BEFORE the storm hit, Were there any footprints of Michaels when LE arrived? Tire tracks? I'm guessing not, or they would have at least an idea of direction of travel?
6. I'm a ranch girl, if I had driven off into the gully, and we just had to go pull my dad out of one here at the ranch, there were multiple footprints, tire tracks, shovel marks, etc. I can very obviously see there was no shovel at the crash site, but foot prints? Not even Michaels? No one finds that odd?
7. Wouldn't he have gotten out to see if he could unstick himself, how bad the damage was? Well then why not use your phone?
8. His phone and laptop were in the car, it was running, so the keys were in the ignition(was it running when the rancher found the car or when LE arrived)...was there any suitcases? backpack with clothing? If he was going somewhere, no one knows, but wouldn't you take your clothes?
9. Has his home, where did he go live anyway? Has his home been searched to see if there are signs of disturbance, break in, was it left in a state of dissray (as in someone lives like a pig), was it clean, bed made? Signs of clothing missing, empty hangers, dresser/bureau with little in it? Toiletries?

Yes, and it says 'PUSH' on the door he's not enterinng from. One can only get out of a store by using backside/side (I do this all the time and I amm left handed) if the door is PUSH and not PULL. Pull to enter, push to exit. MOO

..I'm glad that my confusion about doors has sparked such a stimulating discussion :waiting: Appreciate you guys all chiming in to point out that yes, I am indeed the only one who doesn't open doors backwards. :tsktsk:

Deceased where? How far could he have gone without cadaver dogs finding his body.

Jmo. The woman that he threatened to kill needs to watch her back.

I think this guy is circling the wagon to execute her. Jmo.

I only say this since he has not been found while LE supposedly searched an humongous area. Jmo.

But that shotgun that he got caught with wasn't the only gun he has.

He probably wants his ex to think that he is long gone and possibly dead; Just so he can sneak up on her for a murder suicide situation. Jmo for now. But I respect yours as well.

Something's been bugging me for a long time since someone first suggested this. Remember, guys, that this ex lives all the way back in CA. I really, really doubt he's making it back there to attack her without his car. I sincerely doubt that this is a possibility at all whatsoever, since we have no evidence of him being picked up by an accomplice. Especially since all of his belongings were left behind.

Dry as the ground is there you would barely see tire tracks let alone footprints. That stuff sets up like concrete.

https://www.ksl.com/?sid=37639285&nid=148, also in post #11, #14 and etc.

Scroll down to see the TIRE TRACKS from the car, when it was found, before the storm? That soil would leave foot prints, maybe not consistent ones, but enough for you to figure some things out.

Not sure if the door debate has been solved but I believe if you look at the door he is walking through there is a lever type turn lock thingy there which would be on the inside, so he would definitely be walking into the store.

I still don't think he walked away from the airbags uninjured. The impact is tremendous.
If he was drunk, I think his body would have absorbed more impact, making it more likely that the airbags didn't injure him.

And what kind of lion was that?

LE reported that when they arrived the ground was frozen and there were no footprints.

Mountain lions shred their food and clothing has been found in the digestive track upon necropsy after an attack on a human. They also bury their kill which would make it more difficult to find. Although certain dogs are specifically trained to track mountain lions (for hunting), other search dogs will avoid tracking the scent of cougars. IMO

This makes the most amount of sense to me. He finally turned around after he was sure he took a wrong turn.

Right, and when he turned around he thought he had a straight road back to the interstate but as you can see there is a bend in the road and he went straight 100 feet and crashed.

Searchers are using dogs and drones. "We're going to search until we've covered everything and feel satisfied that we haven't missed anything," said the sheriff, who has used helicopters to aid in the search and has sent investigators to California in an effort to gather additional information about Cavallari.
