Michael Sean McAllister was last seen around 9 a.m. on April 2 by his mother at their home in American Fork, police said in a news release.

McAllister left in his car that morning but he left his cellphone, medications and other personal items.

According to police, McAllister has multiple medical conditions, which require consistent medication to avoid serious medical emergencies. His mother told police he has a diminished mental capacity.

An American Fork man returned home safe Monday after being missing for more than a week.

According to a press release from the American Fork Police Department, Michael Sean McAllister, 44, returned to his residence in American Fork. His mother, who had been out of state in Colorado looking for him, notified the police at about 10:30 a.m. Monday.

A different family member found McAllister at his residence.
