The attorney is trying to put words in her mouth and she is holding her ground.. Doing a great job!

Why did the judge point out what Rachel meant by later? He is hand holding the defense. Defense atty goes on to ask witness what she meant by later.

IMO Judge is out of line.

Hope that sticks with the jurors!

I think it will because she said it so matter of factly.. Not with great emotion.. It just came out..

Defense is scoring more points with this witness than Prosecution did. Unfortunate. Sad.

Is she asking for something stronger than the water? just kidding

Rachel is more composed after the break. She is handling the defense questioning very well

Her incisions and her lungs.

Right!
I thought he meant all over the bathroom floor etc.
I guess the IO in her leg might bleed a little when it was placed ...
I don't remember seeing blood when I saw them placed, but I have never seen one placed in an adult.

Why did MM say "blood everywhere "?

The attorney is trying to pinpoint her to one page, My guess is that the prosecution will come back and show the ground work for her testimony..

It's been 13 years and my mom's sewing machine, patterns, cutting table and ALL the fabric she had is still there.
I finally cleaned her closet and drawers out after 10 years.
Dad can't bear to part with it much less ask anyone to do it for him.
(They were married 35 years)

This man IS a monster.
Poor family!

I probably would be hanging onto things forever, but not all people are like that. NOT in defense of MM as I think he's just a jerk, but my mom started clearing out my dad's thing pretty quickly because every time she saw them it was painful. I know how deeply she cared, and she never looked at another man after he died, saying, "when you've had the best, what do you want with the rest?"

And to expound on my own post if Michele indeed was running her own bath why was the tub not overflowing when MM arrived home? Why is the tub half way full and the faucet turned off?? Hmm
This has been a question in my mind for a long time. If she was leaning over the tub the way he describes I would think the water would be running. If she was laying in the tub in shallow water the way Ada says I would think the water should be still be running filling the tub. Points even further towards staging the scene IMO he either didn't think of this or didn't want to flood the bathroom.

Watching this witness and the defense questioning her all I can think of is if that was my child on the witness stand I would stand up and say quit it........quit asking her questions quit making her remember.....leave my child alone......which makes me wonder what the defendant is thinking...if he even cares how this is affecting his children? This is just sad!

I wish they'd keep a camera on MacNeill so we can see him while the children testify. Every painful moment they're going through is because of him.

Exactly.

Dry tubs kill women!
Ask Drew Peterson!

I really hate how the defense uses prior statements -- they're not doing it right if they're trying to impeach witnesses. And if they're using those statements for any other purpose, they are not allowed to just read portions of a witnesses' prior statements.

No. He doesn't. Remember he was going to give the kids away after Michele died..

Defense is showing Rachel is not a credible witness. This is not an opinion. This is unfortunately what is happening.

It really does not matter either.. The defense is trying to trip her up and she won't trip up. She is being truthful and it is coming across authentic.
