I thought I followed the testimony of Gypsy pretty well, but obviously I did not. I just read that during the day of the funeral, she and MM texted one another approximately 22 times and that several of these texts were exchanged during the funeral. That is not a casual relationship as she has claimed.

The prosecution team is boring and they are doing a very poor job. They need to hammer some points home (which they are not now doing). They are allowing an important witness (Gypsy) to act cavalierly and dishonestly to the detriment of their own case. A competent, experienced attorney could change that in a skinny minute.

They have a strong case but they are not presenting it well at all. They should bring in some fire power. This is a high profile case and there are plenty of attorneys who would welcome the opportunity to join the team.

If she doesn't do her "job" on the stand, then what is the point of her plea deal? Can the State renege (sp?) on that plea deal if she doesn't pull her end of the bargain?

According to some attorney's on HLN the answer is yes. She could be put back in the slammer for 3 years, or whatever the remaining time she has left on her probation.

Is it possible this case could get it's own sub forum?

There's a lot of twist and turns, details and events to discuss.

Just bringing forth the affidavit if anyone else wants to refresh

http://cdn-static.wildabouttrial.co.../Affidavit-in-support-of-arrest-warrant-2.pdf

Wow. That is compelling. Now I realize even more how poorly the prosecution team is presenting this case. Simply astounding to read the affidavit in its entirety.

The prosecution has got to get someone on board who can present the facts to the jury evenly, completely & with authority. That is NOT being done by the prosecution attorneys and that failure is either recklessness on the part of the DA or incompetence. Time is running out and they are going to lose in spite of this most damning recount on the part of Chief Robinson.

Thanks for providing the link.

I'm not panicking yet. Still some witnesses left to go. Closing will help connect the dots. IMO.

Committed suicide

Thanks. I did a search and it looks like Damian wrote a letter to media in support of his father, and soon after committed suicide. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that he was manipulated by his father, but in doing what his father wanted, he was probably rejected somewhat by his family. It looks to me like McNeill ripped his family apart so that he could have contact with his mistress. It's no surprise that the daughter that testified last week (the one that was so nervous) is a mess. She said that she and her father had an especially close relationship while she was growing up. There's a good chance that she is revisiting every memory of him, throughout her childhood, and seeing it in a different light - one where she was a pawn rather than a treasured daughter. What a tragic experience.

I should have added Michele's Family does believe it truly was a suicide. Now I know I read somewhere tho the Family does feel Martin may have "helped" in terms of psychological abuse. I truly believe that myself. Sorry I don't have a link. It was words to that affect.

Agree. I think you nailed it. And yes he did support his Dad.

Yes, Damian publicly defended his father in 2009. But on Jan. 15th 2010, his mothers birthday ~ right before he killed himself he wrote on facebook

Do not cry
Mother is absent
Mother shall come back

Then he has his mothers memorial posted ~

These poor kids. MM used them all as pawns, then through them away. He is pure and simple evil.
My heart breaks for these children.

If anyone picks up on who the "third party" serving as mail carrier for GW and MM when they were incarcerated, please share!

I think it's interesting that the affidavit don't name this person, considering those acts are illegal. And since it's illegal that case should be prosecuted with the third person as well.

I just read also that the defense attempted to implicate Damian in his mother's death with his father claiming Damian had homocidal tendencies.... disgusting :( Claims she died of heart problem but oh if she was murdered Damian did it??

Do you have a link to that? I'd like to read it.
