Layman's explination:

Tylenol (acetominophen) Tells your brain it doesn't hurt
Percocet (Oxycodone) Actually affects pain centers and relieves the perception of pain at site of pain.

Lortab (Hydrocodone) same as above however, less effect and not as physically addictive.

One thing the "doctor" seemed to forget.......why would Michele take an Ambien during the day when it is to be used before bed at night?

LMAO I'm glad he mentioned Phenegran (sp?) being prescribed for Allergies. I recognized the name as a drug my Allergist had me take many years ago. What I do remember was I stopped taking it. It dried up every orifice. And I mean every orifice :scared: It was a horrid feeling.

That's ok, when I take percocet it makes me productive. I want to clean, etc.

I have had only 2-3 patients that it affects that way.

So far all of the drugs that was in Michele's system would make her sleepy and with that much sleep inducing meds she would be out of it, IMO.

If I understand correctly, it was physician Martin MacNeill's request(s) for these various drugs that allowed them to be prescribed for Michelle. If not for his requests, they would not be routinely prescribed.

While the testimony today indicates that each has a minor degree of difference (anti-nausea, anti-histimine, different receptors, etc), they all have the common denominator of having a depressive, narcotic effect on the central nervous system.

If Michelle had presented w/ a huge amount of oxycodon, the death would have been deemed highly suspicious. A cocktail of drugs which all have the same effect could be more easily explained -- even tho the effect is identical.

You are not alone. Lunesta works slightly better. Don't be surprised if you take either one, to be raiding your fridge, and not remember doing it.

Ohhh Lunesta put me in crisis center for 24 hours! lol And yep, sleep eating lol Hubby woke up covered in chocolate cake :floorlaugh:

That's frightening. I always fall in the small percentile to have an adverse effect to meds. Thankfully I take nothing. Drugs terrify me. From having bizarre adverse reactions to anaphylactic I stay away as much as I can.
