An another consideration would be a high potassium due to a large amount of water in the lungs. Water would tend to move into the capillaries causing red blood cells to burst, releasing potassium that would add to a higher potassium level. This potassium would be distributed through the blood stream only as long as the heart is beating and I would think the highest level would be found in blood taken from the heart

I'm telling you, he gave her a crap ton of potassium. Very simple way to get his desired outcome. Hard to prove because of K spike after death...wouldn't raise suspicion per se'.

Lisinopril

Lisinopril has the side effect of possibly raising potassium level. I doubt this is a common side effect though, since it could be dangerous. Many people on Lisinopril or other "ace inhibitors" also take a diuretic and potassium.

Another problem with Lisinopril is lowering of blood pressure to the extent that it can cause fainting, especially if it is taken as an overdoes. This is a thought. Do we know if there was a Lisinopril level done (I don't even know if there is such a test)? Thanks
