I can only speak to my overall impression of Gypsy. Thus far I think she is hedging. Again IMO doing the best a Sociopath can do who cut a deal. As far as Ada we don't know when she will testify. We know she will with limitations.

So far Gypsy has appeared friendly and inviting however she is also minimizing her relationship and contact with Martin. Doesn't come off well IMO as she claimed to only heard about Michele's death "a little bit." That's totally unbelieveable as she moved in with the family and certinally Martin would have discussed it with her. Seems she agreed to testify in a plea agreement but they do not have her loyalty. I see her still giving that to Martin. The State will have to grind on her but I'm not sure they will??

Judge ruled Ada's CJC taped interview can be shown and then she can be cross examined by the defense. If the defense opens any doors on that cross the state can then redirect. Not sure what date Ada will be there.

Yes, if I recall Provo is 98% Mormon. Home of BYU and the largest missionary training facility in the world.... It's not out of the rhelm to say that most of the people in that courtroom are Mormon as well as the jurors. Not saying anything "bad" or "negative" either. There are just a lot of highly religious and "proper" people involved in this. So, from their odd smiles and manners toward one another to their cool calm dispositions realize that LDS is in the room too.

I have to go to a murder trial Nov. 11. for my Grandaughters other Grandmother. I dread it. The more it goes on the facts I learn. I have to go, I have to for my grandaughter, but I don't want to deal with the defense att. I know she will be found guilty, but watching this defense att trying to change the facts will piss me off. Sorry for the O/T but every time I hear Gypsy I LMAO. Last eve hubby and I were out for a nice dinner. He asked (not that he is interested just being a nice hubby) Did the Gypsy get on the stand yet. Huh? She is not a gypsy her name is Gypsy. Which reminds me of dialogue from our first date. Me- Oh your Danish. Him- Yep came over in 57 on the Stockholm. Me-I always thought Scandinavians were blond and fair. Him- Well I am dark haired and skin as my Mom has much Gypsy in her. Me-So your family raped and pillaged? Him-I guess so. Not sure how we got to the second date. Two Children and 32 years later LOL.

6:48AM – MM called Gypsy from work phone. Duration 0 seconds.
7:40AM – MM drove into his home driveway and honked for Ada, Sabrina, Elle and Giselle to get into his car so he could get them to school
8:30AM – MM dropped Ada off at school
8:41AM – Alexis called MacNeill home. No answer.
8:44AM – Michele called Alexis from cellphone. Michele seemed happy and excited about her plans for the day.
8:30 – 9:00 – 9:30AM MM's whereabouts are unknown
9:00AM – 9:30AM – MM claims he arrived back at work
9:10AM – Alexis receives call from MM. He left a voice message expressing concern for Michele, saying that she was doing too much.
9:14AM - Martin called Michele's cell phone from his work with zero duration.
9:17AM – Martin called again from his work phone to Michele's cell phone. Duration 36 seconds. (I think this is when he left the message that daughter Vanessa later heard)
9:26AM – Martin called Gypsy from his work phone. Duration 24 seconds.

"Martin told Dr. VanWagoner he left his wife for about two hours. Dr. Frikke's notes indicate he either told he arrived at the office between 9:00AM and 9:30AM, or he arrived at work about 9:00AM and went back home at 9:30AM. Either time frame is plausible. At these times, Martin was supposed to be manning a booth at the Developmental Center Safety Fair on (the morning of April 11th). 11:32AM – MM called Michele's cellphone.
11:35AM – MM picks Ada up from American Heritage School

Ada finds Michele in tub. Alerts MM. He tells her to rush to a neighbour to get help.

Approx 11:46AM – MM's subphoeaned cell phone records indicate he called 911

11:57AM – Paramdic Marc Sanderson walked MM out to the front porch of the home. MM told Marc Michele had overdosed and that was the cause of death.
11:59AM – Alexis called home and spoke with MM. MM told her he was performing CPR, Michele was in the tub not breathing and then hung up on Alexis. (This was while he was on porch with paramedic!!)
12:00PM – Ambulance arrived
12:03PM – MM called Jim VanZant, a physician at his workplace requesting assistance. VanZant sent Steven Mickelson.
12:05PM – Alexis called MM's cell phone. He again stated «we are doing CPR.»
12:07PM or 12:17PM – MM called Alexis. When she answered , MM gave the phone to Steven Michelson. Michelson told Alexis she needed to come home.
12:19PM – Ambulance left home and headed for American Fork hospital
12:24PM – Ambulance arrived hospital. CPR was administered as they entered hospital.
1:03PM – Dr. VanWagoner ended the resuscitation efforts. MM offered him $10.000 to continue.
2:00PM – Alexis left Las Vegas airport. She landed in utah at 3:15PM
2:00PM – MM asks Damien's girlfriend to detroy the remaining of Michele's drugs.
3:25PM – Alexis is picked up at airport by family friend. They drove to hospital and then home. Alexis observed many of her mother's personal things had been removed from closets, drawers and other parts of bedroom.

In the evening of April 11th 2007, Martin insisted on showing them how he had found Michele in the bathroom, demonstrating her position using his own body. He also told daughter Rachel they needed to get an autopsy quick so no one would blame him for causing Michele's death.

Too bad that won't last much longer, I think she is already rolling past her peak, so to speak.

I do not like her attitude though. She is trying to play the jovial, agreeable gal, and it is not working (at least with me). I am looking forward to them getting to the meat of this testimony, hoping it will show us the real Gypsy and reveal her involvement.

I wish they had a woman to handle this witness. Not that men aren't' capable but we have a certain Je ne sais quoi that does not allow another woman to out manipulate us and duck the tough questions. Even better when it can be done in a "nice" non confrontational female way. Gypsy's testimony should HANG Dr. M. It's like gold. Has to be properly mined.

I totally agree with you, I too wish that a woman was handling this witness. She appears IMO to be trying to control the questions and thereby controlling how she answers them. The giggling as well as other things are probably putting the State off their game.

I am so so very sorry you have to go thru this. If it gets too intense go out in the hall. There is nothing wrong with that. We all have our levels of tolerance with emotion. I thankfully have not been thru it. However I have attended a few Trials I was very passionate about. That was gut wrenching enough. One Trial I attended the Parent got up and left the room and I lost it. Quietly but I lost it. Take care of you and be aware of your limitations. Nothing wrong with that.

My impression was tainted by what was written in the affidavit; that Gypsy never admit to anything until she is pressured and evidence is thrown in her face. I felt she took very lightly on the facts she was asked about.

There's was nothing juicy though.

If she doesn't do her "job" on the stand, then what is the point of her plea deal? Can the State renege (sp?) on that plea deal if she doesn't pull her end of the bargain?
