Hey minor! Ya know.. I was just thinking that it seems odd how she keeps saying 'she was just wetting her hair', she repeats it, many times. (which would make sense if she was found the way MM says she was) But yet says she was all the way in the tub. I was sitting here thinking that MM repeatedly said that she was wetting her hair to her or around her. I know that's not what you were meaning... LOL but goes to show how things are heard differently

I think the woman doing the questioning is doing a good job. Poor Ada.

Oh, I definitely think Martin tried to influence her a lot.

She just doesn't want to talk about her dad at all - I'm no psychologist, but it makes me think that she has some really bad feelings about her dad that she doesn't understand.

7 or almost 7. She said she was 6 when Michele died and she lived with Alexis for a year, or almost a year, when this interview was done.

You didn't misunderstand. In my post I wasn't really referring to Martin - I was thinking more about the other adults who were around her in the year between Michele's death and this interview.

BUT - I totally agree with you that Martin tried to influence her by giving explanations like "she was trying to wet her hair", etc.

As expected: Ada won't testify because the defense has no questions of her, thus the prosecution can't re question

Smart move by defense not to cross-examine her. I also think the interview alone is sufficient to get in the information that is most important from Ada, and that is that she found her mom in "brown" water, that she was all the way in the tub, and that she had on all of her clothes.

So I'm even more convinced of Martin's guilt after listening to Ada's interview. It is pretty clear that he tried to make her think that Michele was only trying to wet her hair - even though the tub was half full (who turned off the water when the tub got half full if Michele was unconscious?), and even though Michele was all the way in the tub.

The Defense may have outsmarted itself w/ its objection of direct testimony from Ada.

While not a lot of new information was brought forward, there is a strong emotional component to a 7 year old's reply, "I don't want to talk about it." to every question about her father that the police officer presented to her. It was present to those of us who listened and it surely was more powerful for those in the courtroom who listened and observed.
