Yesterday he was grinding his teeth; I mean back and forth and turned red in face; etc etc. He was actually CHEWING.

There is life savers or cough drops or something on the table, I saw MM and his attorney put it in their mouths.

Defense trying to shift the focus from #MartinMacNeill to Jason Poirier and his criminal past. @fox13now #MacNeilltrial

I think Doc M talked with Inmate P.

You would be surprised how much men talk. (Worse than women, shocking really.) Especially when in jail and trying to make sure everyone thinks you are bada** so they will not want to hurt you or mess with your food, etc...

Agreed... not so much as in a confessional way, but in a bragadocious way...

defense is trying to show that jason had worked out a deal with pros
in exchange for info on marty

jason told attorney about marty and attorney said she would pass info to pros

trying to bring in conversations with wife

Jury still appears to be paying attention to all this, some taking notes. @fox13now #MartinMacNeill #MacNeillTrial

I have to agree with you. While he may have made inferences or jokes I don't think he would have really confided in anyone as he was looking down on everyone around him.

I'm not so sure about that - I could see the defendant bragging a bit to inmates - after all what fun would it be to get away with murder if no one knew, and who's going to believe inmates?
So far, the inmates have seemed consistent - they all found MM unsettling.

So this guys not squeaky clean, but he is not a MURDERER like your client, RIGHT?

  • #148
jason thought all charges would be dropped and he would be released
per what he told his wife
based on his convos with marty

I think he was "playing" tough for his wife or something

I'm getting a little bored with this mini-trial.

this witness is unflappable.

"That's what you said, right?"

I'm so sick of hearing that phrase....:gavel:

after LE interview

Jason told wife that he had some really good news - Barbara (his attorney) said she thinks he can get out without GPS -

pros agreed to help him out a little bit with what he knew

and jason still wanted to do this

Maybe I'm weird, but this witness seems more likable than the def atty.

Ha ! If only that would happen !

I think the defendant isn't stressed---he's just ticked that the inmates testifying against him clearly see themselves as his peers. They all even have a fond nickname for him ....Doc. Only one, now testifying, has made it clear that MacNeill wasn't a peer. As a wife-murderer, he was too much a low life for a thief to want his company. Heh.
