Bless those babies, we heard of the abuse, but seeing how painfully thin they were in the videos is just gut wrenching.

Oh, me too. Those kids were skeletal. Had the son not escaped, one or both of those children would have died eventually from the abuse (MOO).

I originally had some slight (very slight) sympathy for Ruby, thinking that she was a victim of JH and brainwashed by her. No more.

I think JH seized on and nurtured Ruby's nascent penchant for cruelty.

I am so glad she and R are placed together. Nobody will ever understand what they went through as well or as fully as one another. What a horrible thing to be bonded over. But them together, they can support one another as they heal.
