If the burning took place over 2 days, it doesn't make any sense that he would leave poor Kenzie's body out there in sight. Dismemberment can't be determined by us, but it makes sense to have a shorter, more highly stacked burn pile, not a spread out pile more than 5' long exposed for 2 days.
Is it possible that he dug a fire pit? Then covered it back over?

conducted which resulted in the finding
of several charred items, that were
consistent with personal items of
ML. Other charred material
was located which has now been,
forensically has been, determined to be
female human tissue. A DNA profile of
that human tissue was obtained during
forensic testing by the Utah State lab.
That DNA profile was compared and is
consistent with the DNA profile obtained
through further forensic testing of
personal items of ML.
I may be reading more into it but that term, to me, reads as, delicately, unearthing evidence. It takes a really hot fire to burn a body to the point that it seems that he did.
