The music is great, the parents are awful monsters. Let's not lose sight of that.

Both bands listed above are particular favourites of myself and my partner.

We played Green Day for my nephews when they were preschool and infant age while we were babysitting them and they loved it, they laughed and danced with us (as well as they could as kids that young).

Anything can be a torture if it's twisted to use for harm.

MOO
I'd probably like the music too if I saw Ruby and her parents dancing to it and having fun like you and your family did and she was still alive still dancing.

We'll never know if Ruby actually did like those bands but I am certain that they were favorites of MM because there's no way in hell such a self-absorbed guy would be playing music that he could hear while he was gaming that he didn't like,
imo

20 minute video

So far I've seen no reporter, Lauren @ HTC included who have delved into possible connections between the parents and cousin Chad's books and beliefs.
Their LDS church involvement?

Could they have been of the belief that Ruby was a "zombie" or "dark spirit"?
Curious if LE found any of his books in their house?

No comments either from relatives, friends or neighbors.
imo

Yeah that’s what I meant - they were the selfish dad’s favourites, not Ruby’s. He’s projecting his likes/dislikes onto this poor child because clearly he didn’t know her since he spent no time with her.

Sorry if my post came across as confrontational, I just don’t think it’s useful to suggest that the content of his hobbies had a bearing on the treatment of his child. It’s an easy trap to fall into that diminishes the fact that he chose to neglect and abuse his child(ren). It was a choice.

He has no interest in the well-being of his child and clearly never has, his only interest is covering his own a$$ and spending all of his energy doing what he wants and ignoring his responsibilities.

The Dark Spirits weren't in poor Ruby. IMO

We know that but my curiosity is what her parents may have believed.
If MM wasn't a cousin of Chad Daybell and they also weren't LDS I would never have asked such an offensive, deranged question concerning Ruby.

My nephew is 17 months and he's 10lb heavier than Ruby's weight at autopsy. Seems like he learns a new word every day or two at this stage. He eats fruit, veg, pasta, chicken, he loves to get slices of cheddar cheese as a snack. How many of his favs did poor little Ruby ever taste? This case is just heartbreaking.
The "crib days" happened often enough, it seems, that they had a name for it. What the heck does a toddler need with "crib days." It is indeed torture to confine a child like that.

I wasn't going after your post at all! I just read it and thought that the evil in that house was in the parents not Ruby. Sorry!

Here’s a video of Mitchell Murray streaming Minecraft on March 19th, 2025. The day his daughter died of neglect.

What the heck is wrong with some humans?!
Associated with Daybell, is it a curse?! I can't imagine this sort of evil.
I don’t think they ARE human. How could they be? It’s like a portal to hell opened up and the demons are freely roaming. The opposite of human…

With the meth heads, it makes sense. Not that it’s right or excusable but the meth heads don’t take care of themselves or anyone. So when they leave their kids to rot, it follows. These are educated professionals. Why? How?

So this is what he was so busy doing instead of playing with his beautiful baby girl? Sick..

The police reviewed recordings from baby monitors and surveillance cameras to see what took place. There were only six diaper changes in the last 96 hours of baby's life.

It's also infuriating that the mother was completely resigned to her daughter's death, suggesting "it was her time". She doesn't believe she did anything wrong.

I was astonished that the dad referenced crib time like it was normal.

I wonder how the older brother managed to survive.

MOO

Even with all the immediate available evidence showing how Ruby was abused causing her death it still took LE almost 9 months to charge the parent with Ruby's murder so it wouldn't surprise me if ongoing internal dissension was involved because the evidence against the parents was crystal clear.
Thankfully in the end the correct legal and moral decision prevailed to charge them.

Ruby's obituary lists an extended family so was Ruby somehow isolated from them?
Did the parents not associate with family members?
Was Ruby not taken to church if/when the parents attended?

These child abuse/death tragedies bring up the question, and rightfully so, who in the family/friends saw Ruby and did anyone think/know something was wrong with her, how she looked and/or how she was treated?
Did they see that something was very concerning and said nothing or saw something and said something to a parent(s) but didn't follow through with contacting CPS/LE?

Also the Murrays have a 4 yr old son.
Where was he when CM worked?
If he was home with the sadistic father a 4 yr old can certainly do a lot of constant interrupting when daddy is gaming online, especially if being ignored.

Did CPS open an investigation on the parents after Ruby's death?
Where did CM work as a nurse?
Did she have access to hospital patients and if so "angel of mercy " comes to mind.
Was employee child care offered where she worked?

IMO:
I can answer some questions about CM's work. I have worked directly with her in the past. Cared for patients with her even. She was an RN at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, UT. Last I knew, she worked on the medical/surgical floor.

We do have access to employee child care on hospital property. I use it and it has been a lifesaver. I keep thinking about how much I wish Ruby had been enrolled. We do have to pay, but it is affordable relative to local pricing. And it can be hard to find child care in our area.

She did have access to hospital patients. Typically adult, any type of condition that would be on a medical floor or patients recovering from surgery. I didn't know her extremely well, but I never had concerns about her work and I never heard any. She seemed "normal" to me and I was deeply shocked by the news.

I worked with her when she was pregnant with Ruby. She told me she was excited about the pregnancy and had actually hoped to get pregnant sooner with her second but it didn't work out that way. I've wondered if any coworkers who worked with her after Ruby was born noticed anything. I wasn't around at the time.
