If I had to compare Judith to our Annandale JD I'd say they're not one in the same based on meticulousness. To me, it looked like toward the end of her known existence in NY, Judith was very sloppy -- I mean she took up cook jobs in restaurants and that's the LEAST non-messy thing in the world.

I may try and call Sodus Point again here this week once I'm done playing catch up at work.

Well, possibly, but I've known neat freak cooks, too. I doubt we can make that assumption.

Astridxx - Anything new from your LE contacts? I'm just hoping for a Christmas miracle, and that our Christmas Tree Lady can be identified (Judith!?) and put to rest properly. Praying...praying!

This is a view of the cemetery from the left wall where I assume she was found.

(snipped by me)

What does that sign say? Christ IX? What is that, a name of one of the sections? (I see there is another sign that says Babyland).

No dear, nothing yet :( I didn't want to keep bothering the detectives.

Wow, that 1990 photo looks even more like our UID!

How can this NOT be her? The resemblance is spot on. The nose is a big different, but our noses do "droop" as we get older, and that was a rendering anyway. This must be her or she has a doppleganger! LE *must* be as excited about this as we are? Is there *anything* we can do to help speed this along? This is just too close a match!!!

CarlK -- I sent you the morgue photo -- did you compare it to the 90s photo of JG? I know you compared it to at least one of the JG photos but I can't remember which one.

I already replied in detail on post #362. She does look close, but I can't tell conclusively one way or the other.

One other thing I can see on JG's photo is a small mole on the left side of her nose about midway down. I don't see that on the postmortem photo, but the PM photo is a little blurred and has poor contrast, so I can't tell for sure that the mole isn't there - though it doesn't appear to be there.

Astridxx,
Any updates from the detective?
Thinking of our Christmas tree lady.

No, nothing yet. Last I spoke to him was in end of December -- he said they'd let me know as soon as they find out. I hope that's soon because I believe I submitted that match in August or September.

Bump....

This is a very haunting case. I cant help but think of the measures I feel that this woman took to end her life and not be identified. I suffer from PTSD and I can tell you depression can do a number on a persons mind. I am not saying she had PTSD, but I am stating that I can relate to being so depressed you would want to end your own life.

I have a question... In the morgue when they did the autopsy do they check to see if the deceased has a terminal illness?

Maybe she knew she was dying and she did not have the money to take care of her final arrangements and took her own life. I think this because the scene she set up to take her own life was very detailed in a weird sort of way. Like she was making herself comfortable to do her final deed.

For some reason I do not think that we will find her in any missing persons database. I think she may have been alone in this world. Perhaps all of her family was already gone and she had no one to report her missing.

Yes, it certainly is a haunting case, and the little Christmas tree by her side makes it even sadder. I still believe this is Judith, who we have discussed earlier in the thread. Astridxx is working with the Detective to see if there is a match, these things take time. I really really think it's Judith. If it is, I see it that she left this world in a tidy, efficient manner so as not to "bother" anyone. It was shame, I believe. If it is Judith, her life had spiraled downhill after her husband passed away, and she had made some poor choices it seems. I hope we hear something soon. I'll never forget this Doe, she breaks my heart. My "Christmas Tree Lady".

I remember upthread Judith being discussed. I would like to see it be her so that we can put a name to this case. Sad, very sad. Hopefully the detective will have some answers soon.

Has isotope testing been done on this doe?

Astridxx, do you know?

There was no autopsy done on JD so as to respect her wishes.

Also, still no answer. I might drop the detective a line to check things out but the other times I've emailed he'll say "you know when we know" so... :/

Astridxx,
Please give him a link to this thread so he is aware a whole group of us are eager to help in anyway, and we thank him from our hearts!!!!
