Welcome! Can you give us any insight to non-resident rules for these housing units. I know you said some things were not enforced, but can you give us any clarification as to what the rules are supposed to be?

You are not supposed to have someone living with you unless they are on your lease. You can have company to stay only two weeks out of a year. Example..my neighbor's apartment is in her name and she is the only one on the lease. So it is based on her income. Her daughter and her daughters boyfriend has been staying there with her since before Thanksgiving. Landlord knows but nothing happening. I just had three guys standing at the corner of my apt doing whatever and I turned on my outside light and they scattered. I do have a resident handbook but I have to find it. I will work on that...

Hi Cubby,

I interpreted the "BAM" as his way of describing the sound of being punched in the face.....similar to anime. Which is why his remark struck me as strange. Bracing for impact, imo, suggests he knew the punch was coming. Perhaps a slip of the tongue on his part?

Am hoping/praying the child is found safe but unfortunately am inclined towards feeling Idaho4Groenes assessment of the mother's grief is spot on.......

VaGal - Question please - is there a rule about loitering? And isn't there something about if you don't have business in the area that you are not supposed to be there...even if it's just driving thru?

Yes there is that rule. But as I said alot of it is not enforced. I have had friends to come to visit me (from the church I go to) in the evening and an officer pulled up to the car and asked what they were doing in the neighborhood. They pointed to my apt and said they were visiting. One evening I had to call about my oxygen and the medical care people couldnt get here until about 12:00 midnight. An officer also pulled in right behind them to see what they were doing? I know they are doing their job but they are not doing their job in many other ways.

Yeah...I was wondering the same thing too...

But maybe it's because the 'story' is falling apart?

ETA: I just heard from one of my sources. This person is in the process of speaking to someone else who knew the foster family better to see if they will share any info.

I do not have fb or ms, but on aunt's I saw a possible.

Appears that this may be his foster mother. This background is used when the Roanoke Times takes pics at different events around town.

Aveion's uncle (CW) was just on WSLS local news. This guy was wearing a Firefighter/EMS hat. It appeared to be the same logo on his shirt.

If this man works for the FD or is an EMT it is very doubtful that he is into any kind of illegal activity and as one poster said eariler - he seems to be out there an telling the truth.

I would update with link but apparently WSLS hasn't updated their web-site yet.

There isn't very much, if any, info on Shasta or her family out there lately. Which...is probably a good thing for her sake. The last I have heard is that she is doing as good as can be expected, and her dad is still hanging in there.
