I was just thinking...the Roanoke River is right across from this area, right? Well, does anybody in that area remember how high the river was that night? The snow had been melting alot and there were flash flood warnings in some areas. I don't even want to think that BL went across the road and put that baby in the river.

Yes - the Roanoke River is right across from this place. I drove by there on Friday around noon and the river was up some but not badly - wasn't even muddied. The water moves fairly fast around that area - not like rapids, but just moves at a goodly pace.

Also just down the road from Jamestown Place is the Roanoke Waste Water and Sewage Treatment Plant...

And behind Jamestown Place is a wooded area.

Of course there are a few areas businesses near by and I have to hope that LE has checked the dumpsters of those businesses.

I think what really got in my head about the step-dad, was when he said his whole thing about "if you have him, keep him warm." Ummmm, if that was my child, I would be saying "if you have him, give him back!"

It's been a while since I was over near Jamestown Place but I do remember when I took a friend from work home one day when his car broke down that there were woods nearby. He lived on one of the streets right over from Jamestown Place and I had this real weird feeling when I dropped him off...the area made me really uncomfortable.

Since then, the department has investigated the reported abduction and received varying degrees of cooperation from key persons in the investigation; which lead police to question the validity of information received from some individuals.

Bolded by me - just noticed this one line and specifically the 2 words "some individuals". I'm taking this that BL's story wasn't the only one that was hinky...so now I am led to believe that possibly the mom's story was hinky as well. I have so been hoping that she wasn't in on this.

Let's hope the mom isn't involved. Maybe "some individuals" they are talking about is someone else they have interviewed and haven't put their names out there yet.

Aveion’s body still hasn’t been found. Tuesday night the Lockett home was an active crime scene and Chris Ward, Aveion’s Uncle, was still in shock even though he didn’t believe Lockett’s story from the beginning. “We had already put this together when it hit, but I’m not prepared for it.“

Police are calling this a death investigation at this time, not a murder. Lockett is being questioned but has not been officially charged. For some family members, there still isn’t a sense of closure. “They still haven’t found his body,“ said Ward.

So then it has been at least 6 hours since the first news was announced about 4:15 EST...... and is this not fessing up either what HE did with this boys body or WHO HE had do something with this boys body.

what does it help to NOT FESS UP at this point? They already know he is a lying . (but then again, so is Casey Anthony) Sorry, but I am steamed about this... tears were overtaken by anger earlier..... I'm too angry to cry right now.

BBM. This was hard to read. Uncle Chris sounds like he is really a good guy. I have the feeling if he had any inclination what was happening over there, he would have done whatever he could to have prevented this.... Either he wasn't immediately available being in the service, or his sister told him a bunch of lies and kept the truth of whatever was happening in that house a secret. Everyone wants to see the best in family... and perhaps the issues regarding the child failing to thrive and whatever other problems she was facing, she fooled her family well.

Why do women choose these types of men to either be the step daddy or have more babies with them? I'm sorry, if I needed help feeing one, I would NOT choose to have any more under those circumstances. Instead she has more and more and more... and now this.......

I should probably stop before I get myself in trouble here.

Another big question. Has anything been said about the rest of the kids? Or mom? Are the kids still at home with mom right now? Have they been removed? That could be a huge indicator...unless they just don't know enough to act yet.

I was wondering about the other kids, too. If Aveion was 2 almost 3 and the girl that was bound was 4 then what was the ages of the other two? In one of the other posts someone mentioned would BL actually leave the children alone in the apartment to dispose of the body...what if the mother was actually in on it from the beginning and just claimed she was not at home when this happened? Not accusing her, but just wondering.

If this rumor is 'truth' it's odd. The food lion, where he last saw the alleged kidnappers and a doctors office when the fake randsom note was on both sides of a hospital bill. Sounds like bits of the truth. I bet there are then more clues in his story.... maybe he had 3 guys help stage this, one who is a Tony Soprano fan?
