This is difficult to type.

I've wondered if it was an infection as a result of the burns that caused Aveions death. I don't know.... and it makes me sick to think these two 🤬🤬🤬 parents KNEW he needed medical attention and didn't seek it.

I mean, they let him wither away to 8-9 lbs at 15 months apparently without seeking the medical treatment he needed. What makes anyone think this child didn't have a seriously infected burn that became infected.

I don't know how serious untreated burns can get, but I know how painful they can be. I know from burning my leg on a motorcycle sidepipe and that hurt like hell!

Here is an article about parents being arrested for NOT treating their daughters burns for 2 weeks. The child was listed in critical condition at the time and at the date of the following article she could have lost her legs. (praying she didn't. I don't know if the girl in the following article survived or not... didn't read further.)

http://www.theindychannel.com/news/18432190/detail.html

:furious: And the comment from BL IIRC was Aveion had a high tolerance to pain. Someone should burn him at the stake. Forget the public hanging. Burn him and let him suffer like he burnt Aveion and never sought medical treatment.

Interesting.... If Morgan was in Indianapolis she would have been arrested for not taking Aveion to get his burns treated. But so far, not so in Virginia.

I wonder what kind of burn, what from, how long ago.......

I am now shedding tears for this precious little boy on a daily basis. How I wish I could have just picked him up, tucked him under my arm like a football, held his head and ran with him. I carried my son until he was over 50 lbs.... (up stairs sometimes) . Aveion would have been so easy to carry and so kissable.

It kills me to know his bio dad has to read this and know what the mother of his child did with her 🤬🤬🤬 other baby daddy.

Could it be possible that since medical treatment was never sought out for the burns that Aveion could have gotten a very serious infection? Burns are nasty.. and almost always get infected if they aren't treated properly.

ETA: and if such an infection was present at the time of his demise, could it have sped up the decomp process??

Yes to both.

I had wondered all along if the "oh he burned himself on a heater" story was to provide a cover if it was determined he'd been burned. Not likely to be able to see those type of injuries after 2 weeks dead, though. But I'm betting those burns were not consistent with accidently contacting a space heater.

I don't think little Aveion died from the burns or infection. After reading the search warrant, :( I am pretty sure that this sweet baby was beat all over that house.

If I was Elastic Woman - I would stretch my leg all the way to that jail cell and give BL such a kicking he would be begging for his life :( WHAT A 🤬🤬🤬

AND ML NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL NOW!

Does it really get cold enough there to warrant a space heater? I've never used one and have lived in Chicago area my entire life. The units they live in are common in this area, similiar style and similiar in age. I've never known them to be poorly heated, unless their heat was shut off. Is it natural gas or electric heat in those units?

A space heater doesn't make sense. I don't know why they would need one. Surely it gets cold there but not in the single digits or below zero. Also, anyone BL's size doesn't get that cold in the winter. I've ranged from a 6 almost too baggy to a 14 and I feel a lot warmer in the winter at a 14. BL looks like he has at least a 42" waist. I would imagine someone his size, it would take a lot to feel cold indoors. Especially being a male. My 7 yr old son runs around in the house in January with a t-shirt and no socks and complains he is too warm if he sleeps in anything other than a t-shirt and underwear.

I'm so frustrated with these cases - Aja, Patrick and little Aveion. I know LE must be making some progress, but darn, it just doesn't seem like it.

Maybe tomorrow,

It's been cold this season, but personally I wouldn't want a space heater if I had 4 kids ages 4 and under.

Heat, water, sewer and garbage removal are provided as part of the rent. Each unit is provided with a utility allowance to assist with electric bills.

Sounds like they have gas heat.

I dont know about those apartments but the one I live in is heated by these old fashion radiators. There are boilers down in the basements of some of the apartments that go out alot and maintence has to come and relight them. It does get cold. I have 3 electric heaters I have to run because of heat problem.

Rest In Peace Aveion.

I trust with all my heart that there has to be a special place in hell for the murderers of children.

And I trust that the place has an even more hellish area where they segregate those murderers that toss a child's body as if it were nothing but used tissue---garbage.

Bless this baby's heart.

He is also still listed at NCMEC.

I think it is because they have not "100% confirmed" that the remains found are Aveion. I think they need that confirmation, just because of that minute chance that it could be another child.

Not that it is really needed in Aveion's case, because they know what happened. But I assume that a "rule" about keeping them listed is in place for other, more ambiguous cases.

You were right. Now that they have positive ID, they've removed him from the missing persons page:

Was your apartment built in the 70's? I've had radiators for hot water heat but they were always 'vintage' buildings that had that kind of heat, or homes that were built 1950 or earlier. Aveions home doesn't look like it was built earlier than the early 1970's. I've never seen radiator heat in anything built after the 50's.

Ooh. You're good :)

They were built in '72, and renovated in '05.

My apartment complex was finished in 1952 and the only update that I can see is new roofs, and this year we are getting new screen doors. The wireing in the apartments are really bad. I have to replace light bulbs every other month.

Thank you! Just my experience as a realtor my friend. I was licensed for about 7 years before my son was born at which time the weekend and evening hours were too much for a single mom and I gave it up.

I should amend my previous statement. I've seen homes built in the 1950's with radiator heat but I can't think of any built in the 60's or later that still used water radiators or did not start using gas furnaces about that time.

Electric heat would be or is usually base boards around that time. However I don't know if electric heat was or is used in that area. Some hot water heat from the 1950's was also base board driven as well..... instead of the actual radiators, the silver ones seen in more vintage buildings.

OT but have you tried those 'curly' florescent lights? They are a little more expensive but save on the electric and last for years. I know some who only have to replace them every 5 years or so depending on how much they use them. Mine last a few years..... but they do not work with dimmer switches, a dimmer switch will cause them to blow out.

HTH!
