I took more pictures of the river today...but it's going to be a while before I can get them posted. The river has now gone back within it's banks (just barely)...but there's still a lot of water flowing that normally isn't there.

Needless to say, people around here get a tad jumpy when there's a forecast for a flood watch/warning.

Search for Aveion has moved to the Smith Gap landfill in Roanoke Co.

We've been speculating for days this is where they should be searching...

From the article it looks like they have been searching the landfill, but hadn't yet released that information to the public. I'm so glad they started the search there before we knew about it.

I take it the step monster is still not providing LE with any information about where he dumped this childs body. I can't say how steamed that makes me. It gets me sooooo angry. It's too bad, LE can't dangle him from a rope around his ankle over the Roanoke River (after some alligators are added) until he fesses up. :furious:

Happy Birthday in Heaven Aveion. I promise I will never forget you and we will continue to fight for you until you receive justice!

I know that they have always at least considered the possibility that he could be there; remember early reports from when he first disappeared stated that people were seen in the Food Lion parking lot? As for why they've focused so much on the river, I'm not sure. Maybe because the landfill wasn't going anywhere, but if he was in the river, they had to search that immediately or his body could be carried anywhere...I know that they "marked off" the area of the landfill where the trash from that area went and no new trash has been dumped there since, so hopefully if he's there, they'll find him.

So sad and frustrating that SOMEONE knows where he is and wont talk...

Excellent points snoelle! Now I bet he put that child in a dumpster at the food lion. Remember when he was saying Aveion couldn't regulate his body heat? There were bits and pieces of BL's story that was telling the truth! Now I am also thinking, it is likely the description of the clothing the fake kidnappers wore is probably a description of what Aveion was really wearing and not the yellow sponge bob jammies. While the weather would certainly make those jammies muddy and dirty pretty quickly, I really have a feeling BL would NOT have put that child out in bright yellow pajamas which may become exposed and possibly easier to spot.

I think those searching, should take a good look at the description of the fake kidnappers and look for those color clothes, etc.

I hope BL is already getting a little of his with his fellow jail inmates!

On January 16, 2010, investigators identified trash from Roanoke in the Smith Gap Landfill operated by the Roanoke Valley Resource Authority. This trash was isolated and contained within the landfill to prevent further contamination from other trash.

So they didn't believe his story from the start, either.

This is for Aveion. I know 2.5-3 is a little young for Sponge Bob, and I remember when my son was Aveions age, he really loved Blue's Clues, so found this especially for Aveion.

Click on my screen name and a box will pop up with several options. Click the 1st one - which is "view public profile". When that page comes up you will need to scroll down some. On the right hand side of the page just under my friends list you should see a picture - click on that picture and the album should open up.

I did click on your profile, but the only thing that shows for me is your "statistics" tab (I don't see anything else---weird). I don't see your friends list or album. I clicked on the link in the stats tab
