Nice work @Simply Southern !

I don’t know how to interpret/dive further into these entries.
Are you able to expound upon the entries referring to a “protective order”?

It's appears filed by AZs attorney. The record would be at the court house, not available or on line.

Thank you @Simply Southern !

So we can speculate then, that AZ is seeking a restraining order?
Are you able to tell who is the defendant making motions in regarding the protective order?
And I assume we are unable to know what those motions are?

Or is the protective order relating to the gag order?

Not without going to the court house and looking up. Attorneys may have access, online but I do not.

Or is the protective order relating to the gag order?
That maybe. But the gag order was to protect the mother of the child.

Oh!?
I was under the impression that the gag order was to protect the NN Public School District/Board/Administrators.

MOO

I thought so, too.

I also thought the NNPS could provide the documentation requested in full to Zwerner (and could be redacted to protect children involved) jmo

Was Deja Taylor charged on June 5?

ETA - What else was happening around that time?

It's really interesting that the 6/6/23 date is the first mention of a protective order (filed by Plaintiff-Zwerner) as SimplySouthern mentioned above.

This news report is dated 6/6/23... the federal charges came down.

25-year-old Deja Taylor, the mother of the 6-year-old student accused in the Richneck Elementary School shooting, faces multiple federal charges just about a month after prosecutors charged the mother in Newport News Circuit Court.
According to court documents filed Monday, Taylor made a false claim on the firearms transaction form she filled out when she bought a 9mm handgun in 2022.

A judge ruled Friday that attorneys for the Newport News School Board have to hand over information to Abby Zwerner's legal team in her $40 million lawsuit against the school system.

The school board's attorneys continue to argue the case can only be covered under workers' compensation.

"We do believe the law clearly will state on the facts here that this was a workplace injury. It is undisputed plaintiff was a teacher, was at work at her school in her classroom shot by a student in her class," said Lahren.

The board wanted discovery to be delayed until the judge had decided whether this court has jurisdiction. The School Board believes this is a Virginia Workers Compensation Act issue because Zwerner was shot while at work.

“It would make sense whether the court can hear the case before an entire trial proceeds with extensive discovery,” Lahren said.

Zwerner’s legal team says, however, that no first-grade teacher expects to be shot.

“The normal processes are ultimately when cases are filed, if there are defenses that are raised, if it’s a plea in bar, there is always discovery that’s conducted beforehand,” Biniazan said.

“That is something that we feel has been outrageous in this case,” Toscano said, “to delay the discovery process in order to get to the plea in bar. So today was a good victory for us.”

“It’s a hurdle we have overcome, obviously,” Biniazan said, “and now we get to get to the meat of this and get some truth out of it.”

Her team said another takeaway was getting dates set for later this year, “to actually get dates set so we can move this case along and get Abby some justice sooner rather than later.”

I am so happy the judge decided in AZ's favor!

The legal teams representing all the plaintiffs are going to attempt anything and everything possible to escape justice... especially those representing NNPS. imo

Am I paranoid, or does anyone else think the school district WANTED this to happen, if not to Abby, then to somebody?
