If he's still alive (I hope he is!) I wonder where he has he been staying. It's been over three weeks. :(

Still missing. Article from July 2017:
“No leads, no tips, no anything, anything; it’s like he’s vanished,” said Baird, 53, who lives in Wise and works in Big Stone Gap, about her 81-year-old father walking away from her sister’s home in the Woodway area of Lee County.

Baird’s father, Clayton R. Baird, has dementia and walked out of his daughter’s house into the woods on June 30, according to the daughter he lives with. He has not been heard or seen since. The search dogs that spent three days searching weren’t even able to find his scent, according to Baird.
“Everybody in the community has gone way beyond,” said Baird, who is very appreciative of the efforts made to find her father. Search and rescue organizations including the Black Diamond Search and Rescue Council and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, along with many local citizens, have spent countless hours trying to find Mr. Baird.

Clayton is still listed as missing
His family is still wondering what happened to him. It sounds like some pretty extensive searches went into finding him with dogs and helicopters.
