The pictures of Codi really bother me. I don't think those pictures are current age. He seems to be a little bit younger than 4 in those pics. I would say he is 2 or three in those pictures.
The only thing I can think of is if dad is a night owl who happened to be up late and checked on him before going to bed himself. I'm usually up until about 1am and always do a final check/tuck-in for my little guy before I lay down.Hmm. It's always curious to me, that anyone would see a 4 year old at 2 a.m. I wonder what the dad has said caused him to see the child at that time?

I agree. LE were way too cagey for my liking. The only thing I can think of is if dad is a night owl who happened to be up late and checked on him before going to bed himself. I'm usually up until about 1am and always do a final check/tuck-in for my little guy before I lay down.
That said..my gut isn't getting the feeling that those are the circumstances here
What bothers me most is he isn't smiling in either of the photos.
He appears to be older in the pic with the white tank top than he looks in the other one, and that pic was taken probably in July or August. That's a "dead of summer" outfit, and wouldn't have been taken after the end of August probably.
So, maybe he was 3 1/2 in that pic and has just turned 4?
sigh.... what i suspected

Chief Mark Talbot says there are concerns Codi Bigsby may not have gone missing when his father said he did (2A.m.) When I asked if there was reason to believe Codi was in danger…he responded “they really want to find him.”

This doesn’t raise my concern. I have always looked in on my kids when I went to bed. So I could see me putting the kids to sleep at 10, going to bed at 2:00 and looking in their rooms to check on them. The police comments do raise a little suspicion even though they could be totally misleading.Hmm. It's always curious to me, that anyone would see a 4 year old at 2 a.m. I wonder what the dad has said caused him to see the child at that time?
Yes, I noticed that too. What bothers me most is he isn't smiling in either of the photos.
Press conference transcribed.
LE - We are here on behalf of 4 yr. old Codi Bigsby. We received a call about 9 O'clock this morning from Cory Bigsby who is the father of 4 yr. old Codi. Mr. Bigsby said that he woke up this morning and he found that his son Codi was missing. Mr. Bigsby said that he reached.....I'm sorry, he searched his home and he looked all over, his son was gone. He was nowhere to be found.
Our officers responded to the residence which is located adjacent to me, to my right. Our responding officers searched the home again and we were also unable to find Codi. There were other young children inside the home. The other kids are safe and they are with us right now, along with dad.
Codi is an african american child, he is about 3 and a half ft. tall. He has a medium complexion and he's believed to be dressed in all black and he may be wearing spiderman flip flops. We immediately contacted several of our partner agencies, many of them are represented here. We've called every resource and we have every resource out here that we can think of that we can bring Codi home safely. The FBI is here assisting us, Hampton Fire is here assisting us. We've had helicopters and airplanes and drones out here and of course we're searching on foot as well. We will be working until we find Codi. We do not feel that there is any danger to the general public at this point. If that changes we will let you know. We've received numerous offers of support from other members of the public, we do not need assistance here at this time. What we do ask the public is if they see something that they believe could be related to this case, that they reach out and they call 911. We ask the public to share Codi's photo on social media and we ask them to spread the word to all of there associates. Any questions?
Reporter - Is there any reason to believe there's any danger to the public (couldn't catch the rest of it)
LE - We are searching frantically for Codi. We are obviously concerned given the resources we have out here, so we really want to find him.
Reporter - What is the latest in the investigation? Have you all found any surveillance video, dashcam footage that neighbours may have?
LE - We don't have anything more about the investigation that we can share at this point.
Reporter - Has the mother been co-operating? You said obviously the father's been co-operating.
LE - We have spoken to Codi's mother.
Reporter - Has she been co-operating?
LE - She's spoken to us and given us the answers to the questions that we've posed.
Reporter - Is there any indication whether he may have walked out the door..(inaudible)
LE - We don't know.
Reporter - If somebody has a ring camera or something, is that something your division is interested in at this time, If it's in the general area?
LE - We are interested in any video that anybody might have of something that they believe could be related. We aren't convinced that it happened, at exactly when we found out about it so if anybody out there believes that they have video or information that could be related to Codi's disappearance we want to see it as quickly as possible.
Reporter - What's the explanation for the gap in time between when the kid last seen and the father reported it to you all?
LE - The child was reportedly asleep and when dad woke up he searched for the child and said the child wasn't there.
Reporter - Does Codi live with the father full-time or does he live with his mother full-time, how does that work?
LE - Codi lives with his father.
Reporter - Has Codi ever walked off before or (couldn't make the rest out)
LE - We don't know and if somebody who lives close or is aware of the family has that information then we would like to know.
Reporter - Who made the 911 call? Was it the father this morning?
LE - Codi's father called us, yes.
Reporter - What's the relationship like between Codi and his mother?
LE - I don't know.
Reporter - Is there any indication he might be with... like outside of the family, with a family member, aunt, grandmother?
LE - There's no reason to believe that he's with another family member.
Reporter - Is there signs of foul play in the home or is that something you can't say?
LE - I don't want to comment on that.
Reporter - How many people were inside the home?
LE - The dad was home and there were other small children in the home, I'm not sure how many.
Reporter - Father still co-operating with you all?
LE - So far dad is answering our questions.
I’m generally optimistic so I’m just going to pray that Codi is okay. The clues aren’t looking very promising though.
For me it started with the 2 am but also dressed all in black. Orrin and Orson West were all in black too. Just makes no sense to me. What kids dress all in black? It’s really hard to find a kids shirt without words or pictures. It sounds like a description you would make up on the fly because you didn’t have a plan for that. JMO.For me it is the flip flops at 2 am in January.
The FBI has since joined the search and authorities say they are expanding their search in a grid pattern.
4-year-old Hampton boy reported missing, FBI joins as search expands
lots of photos of the area & search at this link.
I just can’t see much hope on this one. I hope I’m wrong. Thinking of little Codi.I'm so glad to hear that the F.B.I., with their extraordinary resources and stellar interviewing skills, are involved in the search for Codi.
May Codi be found safe.
