The father doesn't live with anyone besides the kids, right? The question was not asked whether he has a girlfriend, roommate, relative or whoever also living in that townhouse.

I had not thought about that aspect. If there is another adult - girl friend, sibling, etc. - could that expand the field of POI's?

(WAVY) — The parents of missing Hampton 4-year-old Codi Bigsby are considered persons of interest after the child was reported missing Monday morning from an apartment complex in the Buckroe area of the city, triggering a major law enforcement search that now will include the public’s help.

Police Chief Mark Talbot said that evidence hasn’t matched stories they’ve received from Codi Bigsby’s father about when Codi was last seen. Talbot and police spokesperson Sgt. Reggie Williams could not share what that specific evidence was in a press conference Tuesday morning.

“We probably won’t know for certain how much is being left out until we find this child,” Talbot said.

This Buckroe Beach waterfront and the Salt Ponds Marina area, anyone know whether there are secluded areas around there along the shoreline, or trails, parks, wilderness spots?

My own best guess right now is that the "other children" in the household have revealed information about the timeline when Codi stopped being around and that is not matching up with dad's reporting of events.

I did find this which relieves me a bit, at least I feel like this indicates Codi hasn't been missing for months, like with Harmony's case.


“It’s heartbreaking to see when police knock on your door and then they show you a picture of one of the kids who play with your children,” said Tisha Hunt, a neighbor who lives at the Buckroe Pointe Apartment Townhomes.

She said her daughter, Dream, is a friend of Codi's and they play together often.

“All the kids in the neighborhood play together," she said. "They play outside in the yard, games.”

Just poking around on Googlemaps, I don't see any bodies of water very near (walking distance) the apartments, but it looks like there's a rather large treed area. Assuming I've got the right apartments? Google Maps

Right on.They know that the father is lying about last time he saw Codi, that it's not at 2:00, could he be also lying about something else? A 4 years old child alone on the street since many hours and no sightseeing at all? Hmm I don't understand that a child is missing and nobody knows exactly since when? Why this child? An dad can tell at 9:00 what Codi was wearing? The flip-flips in winter are so bugging me.

no there are not- think sandy beach, a pier and a cement boardwalk.

My thoughts, as well, the kids told the real story.

I, speculate evidence was found in the apartment to lead LE to suspect foul play. LE was quick and very upfront the parents are a POI.

I'm scratching my head and dang, I can't figure out what the connection between Codi's mom and dad is that causes LE to call both of them POIs. Let's say one harmed Codi and got the other to help them dispose of his body. Or just told what they'd done. If I was that parent I'd make sure to be the first to squeal on my partner for a better deal.

Maybe the parents were trying to get back together - didn't the chief say the mom was back in the area or something? So maybe they were both in the house when Codi was harmed. What kind of reconciliation is it that would end with abuse or murder? Drugs?

For that matter I don't usually buy into theories of drug overdoses in kids but this case may be an exception. Sigh, I can't figure it out...
