Why do they keep asking for bond? Is this normal?

IMO no it is not normal. It is akin to a temper tantrum and judge shopping, which I find wholly distasteful. IMO his attorney is attempting the old squeak loud enough and someone will get tired of hearing it and grease the wheel. MOO it is simply adding to the bad taste everyone in the justice system has about this case and this defendant. I don't think there is a snowball's chance in H E double toothpicks they reduce the bond.

But her job is to defend him and she is doing just that. She has nothing to combat the very ugly fact that this man was in the regular habit of neglecting and failing to supervise his children and that he has a toddler who is missing under very suspicious circumstances. So she instead has chosen to focus on the narrative that he is being persecuted because of his skintone. I find it distasteful but hey, when you have lemons . . .

Everyone mark your calendars.

On Wednesday, Bigsby's attorney Amina Matheny-Willard requested a bond hearing in the Hampton Circuit Court for Aug. 30 at 9 a.m. His next court appearance was slated for Nov. 17.

Where is Codi Bigsby Ms. Matheny Willard? You can keep talking about Corey til you are blue in the face and you can question all the officers who questioned him. Question whoever you want.

We will continue to ask the important question - Where is your client's son? What has he done to him?

Prosecutor worried about circus-like atmosphere at Cory Bigsby trial. “He made statements to literally everybody, so we are going to have everybody come into court to be prepared to… it’s going to be a circus. To basically have everybody come into court where there has been no statement of law concerning what has been violated,” Bell said.

During a Tuesday morning hearing, the Hampton Circuit Court scheduled the trial for Nov. 7, 9, and 10. ...

[...]

The trial will be preceded by a motion to suppress evidence hearing on Sept. 20, where the team plans to ask to throw out all of Bigsby's statements made to the Hampton Police Division.

Hampton Commonwealth's Attorney Anton Bell said that prosecutors don't plan to use any of the statements Bigsby made before getting a lawyer.

"But the statements before that, that the Commonwealth said they wouldn’t use, led to the statements after," said Bigsby's Attorney Amina Matheny-Willard. "You know, when you are having a conversation with somebody, you ask follow-up questions.”

[...]

Matheny-Willard said Bigsby has lost about 50 pounds in jail.

This is going to be interesting. Especially after the detectives denied Corey''s request for an attorney in the beginning.
everything he said before he asked for a lawyer should be allowed I’d hope. It was only after he failed his polygraph test he started asking for a lawyer. This whole thing is a total cluster ** I just wish they could find out about Codi jmoo
