Yeah I thought maybe there was a reason behind being naked, or he just liked those clothes and didn't want to get them dirty. I didn't think it was too funny either I just kinda thought everyone would disagree with me.

Well, if it still makes any sense... i'm kind of lost in all this now.... I DO disagree with you. I think he was wearing those clothes at SFTW and straight through and that's why he smelled like a dead body himself.

How else to explain that he smelled so bad? Does anyone really think that just being around dead bodies would make a person carry a smell to the extent that people described it? I sure don't.

Why is it surprising his sister would claim her brother is innocent? That carries weight with you? The set-up of Sam McCroskey makes the set-up of OJ Simpson sound legit and realistic.

No I think that her comments are new and had not been previously reported here and therefore were worthy of posting and comment. I also think the released facts in this case could best be described as meager and that there are some unexplained aspects to the case as a result.

Apparently because I consider possibilities that are beyond what your "common sense" dictates are worthy of consideration, you feel the need to ridicule and attack me. I wonder why.

The clothes are dark. Possible blood wouldn't show at all. I'm not sure on this, I will do some research.

I'm just saying there wasn't any visibly obvious stain, and the marks that look like blood which are obvious in the "walk of shame" are printed on the clothes and made to look like blood, but they are not actual blood stains.

Is this thing on?

How would we otherwise explain the smell?

You seem to consider all possibilities except McCroskey being the only person responsible for the murders.

Its not ridicule to have the opposite point of view as you. Saying I think OJ Simpson being set-up sounds legit and realistic compared to the "Sam McCroskey" set-up isnt an attack, nice way to spin it though.

If he had noticeable blood on his clothes Im sure he would wipe it off in some way to make it much less noticeable. But thats why they will use luminol on his clothing in the lab. We cant say whether he did or didnt have blood on his cloths by pictures weve seen. I would guess if he killed wearing clothes they will have blood on them that will be found. You see shows wear murderers are convicted with dna evidence taken from almost micrscopic blood found in something like a crevice on a watch.

Sorry for the attack.

Yeah! And plus, you know, there was, like, the smell. Gosh, wonder where that came from....

No problem.

The issue is that fabric is porous, it absorbs blood, and it is generally not possible to simply "wipe" the blood off. It is not very surprising that we can't see blood in the videos I agree, they are pretty low quality, but as I said there is nothing obvious except the fake printed on blood. But it does seem surprising that no one McCroskey encountered noticed any stains if they were there.

And why wouldn't he shower and/or launder the clothes to remove any blood while he was hanging around the house all that time? Mysterious.

Did you read the link about Demonic Possession?

The whole point is that the foul odors are inexplicable. :croc:

It's lucky we're online or I'd pop you one right about now.

The hell you say? Do you think it came from the people he killed and then hung around with for a few days?

  • #632
Only if he had their actual corpse gunk all over his clothes. Thass wha'm sayin.

Its like listening to the defense attorney of someone so guilty they have no defense just throwing anything imaginable he can possibly think of at the wall to hope it sticks.

"It could have been his arm-pits, thats enough for reasonable doubt you know!"

Apparently the latest non-staining corpse gunk.

Consider this image from Google Books: http://books.google.com/books?id=Cm...e scenes fabric&pg=PA273#v=onepage&q=&f=false

Again McCroskey's clothes are darker than these so maybe nothing shows up in the images we've seen.

Yes!! They ARE darker, you moron!! (You know I mean that in the nicest possible way.) They are the very type of black clothing that has even a red sheen to it when overwashed and overworn.

Oh, my god, I think I'm going to have a coronary because HOW ELSE COULD YOU EXPLAIN THE INTENSE SMELL??!! Do you think the material just trapped "smell molecules"?? And they stuck to him all the way to the airport?

Wait a minute, I have to rest.

Okay, I'm rested.

AND ANOTHER THING: he's wearing the same ****ing clothes in pictures before and after!! Does anyone seriously think that he was running down to the cat****-covered basement, pouring out Tide, and washing his clothes to wear again?

Now c'mon.

(This is a very stimulating discussion. I'm glad I didn't go out tonight.)

So wait...

He wipes off the splattered grey matter, skin, hair, bone fragments, and obvious blood stains resulting from the back splash of a wood maul crushing three skulls to avoid discovery, but he doesn't shower or launder the clothes?

Edited to add: well I guess we do know he dislikes showering...

Right. He wipes it off with his hands, washes his hands and face, and then it all sort of mushes down and soaks in over the next few days.

More plausible than your scenario: that he strips down to his skivs, runs the Maytag, and then puts those same clothes back on.

OH YEAH, BESIDES WHICH, MY WAY EXPLAINS THE SMELL

I'm not convinced he was trying to evade discovery actually. Also this isn't the scenario I was thinking of exactly...
