Does anyone remember how long Amber kept the "other" apartment even though she was living at JD's Eastern Columbia penthouse?? Couldn't she could have escaped her alleged abuser by going back there?? But, I suppose there just wasn't enough room in that apartment for all of her freeloading pals.

<modsnip>

I was unclear as to whether or not they meant the original apartment Attorney Bredehoft cooed over in her opening statement (poor Amber Heard... just wanted to drive her classic car even if it was falling apart; and high on being able to afford a daily Starbucks skinny latte... this narrative is at direct and odd variance with the entire Eastern Columbia penthouse filled with standing and rolling racks of her clothes... clearly someone bought these clothes, and I find it hard to believe that other actresses and models walk away with multiple racks of them for free just for having done the shoots...).

Based upon what I have heard of the recent audio clip, it very much seems to me like JD paid for plenty for Amber, and her friends, and that AH (who goes upon a rant in the end of the clip I reference above, asking if she gets a sip of his wine, does she owe him $7 or $15 for it); was indeed the golddigger with her heart set on being "taken care of" in the will; because I see nothing in his other handling indicating that he penny-pinched her or required an accounting of anything.

To the contrary, everything we've learned over the course of the trial(s) suggests that it was AH who dwelt only upon what she thought she was missing in respect to pecuniary compensation; and thought nothing of/took for granted the hundreds of thousands of dollars he seems to have in fact spent on her.

I thought Ben King came across very professionally. Would hate to have a job like his no matter what it pays..no wonder he took photos of the scene. He has a responsibility to this who were paying him and ultimately to the property owners. He had to justify reparation costs.

I agree. He was a great witness during direct and cross. And, I'd bet he has the metadata to back up his photos (unlike others who apparently didn't comply with a court order to do so).

Yes, people who work "service jobs" generally earn every penny... although in many instances, it involves some degree of freedom of movement which can compensate (the clients may or may not like how you handle the silverware; but they're generally not standing and hovering over you while you inspect or polish it). It's somewhere between a white-collar office job and a messenger job.

It is useful to note at minimum, that every time JD/someone else complains about "the metadata", they mean "stuff that we got, or in some cases did not get, from Amber".

With regard to the scratch marks on Amber's arm that King mentions and the way he refers to them as long uniform marks, that suggests to me they were finger nail marks.

On her left arm. Presumably made by Depp, who at this stage, had no finger nail on his right index finger.

I thought someone in fact said early on, that he paid for the "other apartment" as well.

ITA. AH was grateful for nothing and only (hatefully) demanded more.

Thank you for linking the audio clip in previous post, too!

More being the operative word with her, IMO.
She was never going to be satisfied

I don't envy these attorneys, having everything broadcast live. But, on the other hand, I'd assume they are being well paid for their services. Anyway, this was quite an oopsie (imo) :Do_O

Bless you for listening to the entire thing! Surely, if I had done that, I would have been triggered, and reached for a half-pint-o something, and a bottle of pills. I had a family member who acted and sounded just like her. Shiver me timbres!!

it was especially creepy how guttural and low her voice went, IMO.

She just kept pressing and pressing psychological buttons until she got what she wanted, which was a sobering look into both her psyche and their relationship in general.

there’s also another gut punch exchange that starts at the one-hour mark.

She is a scary head case. Sleeping with the enemy kind of head case.

Wowowowow… with warnings about language for those sensitively inclined, I encourage everyone to listen to the below clip at least through the period of 34:00-43:00, wherein AH goes full-on head-spinning, pea-soup-spitting “Exorcist” on JD for nearly 10 minutes, before the onslaught finally wears him down to take his first below-the-belt verbal hit upon her.

...

Just a couple of thoughts ..
1. AH sure had some colorful vocabulary here .. almost makes Mr. Depps *c* word sound a little tame.

2. IMO I've never known a victim to speak to their abuser this way and keep poking the bear.

the threatening tone .. the constant poking and harassing .. trying to intimidate and provoke. IMO It would have taken a lot of self control to listen to that.

in fact, one no longer wonders why Amanda de Cadenet made a hasty retreat out of the public arena on the topic of whether or not Amber had been an abuse victim, eh? This being one instance when Amber unquestionably gave far, far better than she got… using ‘better’, of course, in the colloquial sense…

(Context of the entire clip: it appears to have taken him over an hour to get her out of his house, because she’s in a snit where she refuses to be ferried anywhere by his security and insists upon an Uber (no idea how she got out there in the first place to the house; but at one point in the verbal onslaught she admits her goal was “trying to get you back”; so it’s eminently possible she took an Uber out there thinking that she was going to be invited to spend the night).)

It seems from the context as if security finally obtains her Uber; however, she won’t get into it.

The clip is also striking ahead of the 34-minute mark, largely if you want to see how relaxed and silent JD is, during a 15-20 minute lacuna wherein he clearly thinks he’s gotten her out of the house. (He did much better than I would, as I am a “talker-to-myselfer”; and the cell phone camera would have been getting several out-of-control mutterings during this same period on my part.) JD, conversely, is clearly prepping to play music, and in fact sits down to play a few minutes of music before the destroyer comes marching back in in full rant mode.
Wow indeed. This pretty much sums up how jealous and insecure AH is with JD. Still!
She is a wicked SICK SICK liar.
And that witch laugh of hers, ack.
She sounds VERY drunk ..so who is the lush ?

“”” your jealousy is so tragic””””
“”””you are a massive narcissist “””
(quoting JD to AH)

Or self inflicted

It’s the way King said it. You know, the uniform part.

That also crossed my mind when King described the scratches on Heard’s arm…but then I did a visual side by side in my head of Heard’s scratches compared to Depp’s severed finger, which I thought was the main point…no comparison. I thought it actually showed the comparison to Depp’s claims to the domestic violence compared to Heard’s claim of domestic violence.

King was a good witness imo. It was also brought up a couple of times that he was paid by Disney, not Depp. As far as all those photos he took, I imagine he had to have them to reference in organizing the $50k repairs that he was responsible for restoring the house.

That and the fact he didn't see them until after she had spent 15 min in the bathroom on the plane ;)
