Making sure jurors remember she is from Brazil as if that is a factor in HIS guilt.
I gather because at some point JM will be heading back to Brazil so the US's "Son of Sam Law" doesn't apply to her cashing in on the murders?

Yes Mr defense attorney, JM was a/is a horrible person…..but your client is way worse and planned the murder of his wife/mother of his child, and the murder of another man who he didn’t know in order to get what he wanted.

I suspect they discussed the daughter during their plotting and decided if they committed their crimes while the little one was away, it would look bad. It would look more believable, they thought, to have the daugher home under JM's care.

And, like you said, JM needed (wanted?) to be there.

As a mom, I ache that CB was likely concerned about her daughter when she saw JM enter the scene, assuming she did see JM (which I think she did).

There is always What The Plan Was and How It Actually Happened.

We should not forget BB lured JR to the home to rape his wife.

That was the whole plan, he was going to come home to investigate, find raping his wife. He'd kill JR (with one successful kill shot). Which is why BB waited at McDonald's. To give JR enough time to assault his unsuspecting wife. That alone is VILE.

But The Plan was to murder CB and they brought JR into the mix to make him the fall guy (so transparent, nothing about JR's personal fetish indicates a proclivity to murder). And BB would be the hero.

Ugh. The Defense just said the knife bringer is the stabber.

No, the colluded who directed JR to bring the knife is.

Enough already.

I hope she is sued civilly. Then any money she makes can go to the victims. V and CB's parents. JMO

Another thing that makes absolutely no sense.
No matter what the reason is for hooking up with an internet guy for the first time is to have him come to your home and at 7:20 in the morning minutes after your husband and au-pair/child are supposed to be gone for the day.
imo

If their innocence is straightforward, why is he taking so long to say so?

  • #1,388
He has already gone longer than the prosecution. How long will this go on?

Does the prosecution get a rebuttal closing after his?

100% her toothbrush was dry.

She was expecting to sleep in on her day off.

She was not expecting company, and certainly not a sexual liaison.

Yes, they can do a rebuttal.

At this point, I think all the prosecutor needs to do is give the jury a withering look, gesture to the defense, say, "seriously?!" and sit back down again.

OMG, sit down, dude.

  • #1,394
Blah blah blah my client had blood all over his hands blah blah blah

I hope the jurors heard that.

Morning recess

My God, he estimates he has 45 minutes to an hour left.

  • #1,396
Only a half hour more.

  • #1,397
OMG he said he has another half hour!!!

LOL he said BB was athletic??

  • #1,398
Another HOUR?

God help us all.

I think now we see the beauty of the CW's approach. Keep it brief. Trust the jury.

While there were important points left to be made, she wins for being logical, succint, and DONE.

There's definitely something to be said for keeping things brief and not overwhelming the jury with information

I've got the defense closing on mute. This man is unbearable. I can't listen to his voice anymore. I think this will be an easy verdict for the jury. The defense strategy is a joke.
