Just saw this article today about the former lead prosecutor on the case (before he was removed and replaced by Jenna Sands). I hadn’t realized he’d actually been fired by FFX county just before the trial started, I just assumed he’d been placed on administrative leave for a period of time….

Finally! (Their public statement is at the very end of the article.) I wonder if their response may be muted because of any ongoing custody matters for Valerie? As I understand it, Brendan's family has had sole custody this whole time since the murders.

I was glad they called out the lies about CB told during the trial. That had to be devastating for them to listen to.

That was a beautiful statement. They sound like wonderful sincere people, as does their daughter. I hope they are able to have some relationship with their granddaughter as none of the above adjectives apply to BB’s mother.

ETA - I hope more Justice is coming to Juliana on Friday im the form of the maximum incarceration allowable.

I've read through the fetLife messages that were recently unsealed in which BB and JM were trying to convince someone to come to their house. In many of these messages, BB and JM are very focused on conveying that they want him to rush into the bedroom and quickly attack and get on top of CB (since that's the only way their scenario would work - wouldn't work if the person came into the room and said "Okay I'm here to act out the fantasy") . Here are a few verbatim examples from different conversations of BB/JM being very specific in detailing exactly what they wanted and that were communicated to multiple individuals:

"I love the idea of you coming to my house and finding me in my room/bed and immediately pinning me down and putting the restraints on. Not even letting me react. Gag my mouth or put tape on me. Put your weight on me pinning me down. "

"So I've said before I have a fantasy with my Dom coming to my house. But, I'll be still in bed, in my pajamas (hoping you will cut them off). I want you go straight to the point, where you put your weight on me, pin me down, put cuffs on my wrists and ankles as well, tape over my mouth, or gag. Also, that would be even better if you act fast, otherwise I can resist, so don't make me try to resist, just act."

"I think the first meeting I would prefer to be at my place. I'm more comfortable there. I'm interested in having someone come over where I leave the door open for them and they find me in my room. Pin me down. Force me into restraints. Gag/blindfold me and make me surrender."

"Sounds like we are getting closer to what I am looking for. But I want you to try again. If you find me in bed what are the first things you will do to me?"

After reading these, it is even more obvious to me (IMO) that BB and JM were creating these messages. They all have the same theme and provide the same guidance to multiple individuals.

Thanks for finding/pointing out the recently unsealed docs. Still looking through them while waiting for the 11am sentence hearing and its pretty obvious which messages were written by Juliana due to the grammar (use of the wrong verb tense etc….) as she was a non-native English speaker, JMO.

Judge ruled that she cannot consider impact statements from CB's supporters because JM was only charged with JR's murder.

Tragic however that they can't be heard.

JM's testimony was critical but w/o it she was facing 2nd degree murders charges so what she did to help the CW is a no-brainer.
Nothing she should be rewarded for with time served.
