For gosh sakes, if they haven't already searched every inch of that ex step dad's property, house, vehicle, then what kind of investigation is this? Where's the outrage from her family? Where's the daggone FBI? I am so frustrated I could scream (except I physically can't right now)!!!!

Come on friends and family, pressure the LE for answers! Protest daily if need be until you're giving answers. Have them explain to you why there hasn't been a microscope all over this guy and his property! Heck, he might have sold the vehicle in all this time!

On the morning of her disappearance, I don't think she ever got into that car with the stepdad. I think the whole morning was him spent trying to cover his tracks.

So people blamed Amber but not Katelins ex and friend that took advantage of her while getting her drunk?

Didn't Katelin ask a friend for a ride to the airport but they couldn't do it. So stepdad had to.

Also. How is stepdad involved in this. If Katelin was violated by friends and not him.

What Katelin's ex has anything to be blamed for ?

Just speculation, but many victims of sexual assault do feel guilty for whatever reason. Maybe she felt like she put herself in that position (not that ANYone actually deserves any type of assault, but many victims will adopt this mindset). I mean, look at the culture all around us that bashes victims and implies that they weren't really victims or deserved it somehow. It even happens here.

IMO only, I think this was a very sad incident, but unrelated to her disappearance. I believe there needs to be a thorough search of SD's property and the surrounding area. Just my opinion though.

Per the last part of Crimewatch episode, is it not telling that the PI said he wouldn't share circumstantial leading in one direction "because criminals watch this show"?
Maybe it's just me but wouldn't this imply that a crime was committed (and that she's not voluntarily missing), right?
I guess it could also be as cheesy "tongue-in-cheek" homage to CrimeWatch itself and its viewership....
But, either way, I think many of us agree on who's looking most suspicious at the moment...

I think the date rape (?) incident may have been significant because it may have affected her emotionally at the time. Maybe she was angry in general and decided this was the time to stand up to stepdad. Obviously, I'm not blaming her -- but there's a chain of emotional events that may make sense here. All speculation.

Let me phrase this better. Maybe Katelin was sick of being abused and stood up to her stepdad.

I always wonder if they can't tell the sex of the body how can they say the person seems to have died from natural causes?
