The charges are related to crimes James committed against Katelin and her sister from 2006-2011. Best guess is this is the entry point to gather other evidence
Terrible that it took an eternity for James to be charged.

Yeah, the the Glade drive information came from me. No one else has put that out or even spoken about it - he was witnessed speeding on River Road and then pulled over on Glade Drive. River Road was where the luggage was found.

The RV explosion while interesting happened, way too recently, for those agencies to coordinate an effort of the size that they just executed.

There was a drug bust at the end of March on Glade Drive, but that’s not the family in question. It would be an interesting theory to state that that person had information and provided it, which is what led to all of this but that’s theory and theory alone.
I wanted to link your post but Couldn't ,but I posted something way back about a similar thingy. But on river road on the night the luggage was found . a police report .
I have no direct knowledge but the amount of busy bodies are crazy.

Do you think the decade year-old case would’ve benefited more or less from
Because everything i’ve ever posted was
publicly available information that nobody from the local news or the podcasts posted about.

That’s the real issue here so many people with resources from Wawa to University of Washington to Geico to every news source that ever used this case as click bait could have helped financially with the investigation or actually done some research before hitting published, but they didn’t so it’s important to point out. That information came from one source one source only and that source was not the news which has only ever offered mangalings and regurgitations of the same story

Our investigators were not limited because of resources I do not think money is the issue.
There is a total lack of reporting in Fredericksburg area , I agree with that.

Lack of research from media is another issue. Not sure how it could have helped anyway.

I just learned of this hyperbole thing the other day . Also just learned of the ring doorbell cam message boards.
Well that's interesting. Do you think there's a connection between Branton and the RV explosion? Or just some weird coincidence? Was the RV explosion at the drug-connected house?

I don't know but it was odd to see it that little road mentioned twice so I thought I would post the fire link here.
But Fishfish's speculation was wild ! I did see some people on Fredericksburg scanner page the neighbors were posting about the fire.

All I know on that is Tuesday A fire happens on a road James was pulled over on ,at some unknown time. These things produce paperwork . So I just like to keep track of where to find the paper work.

Based on how everything played out, it seems like there was a messed up with the investigation early on.
In every other case where a young girl goes missing in Virginia police ask people to check their property and check their cameras, especially in more rural areas.
Spotsylvania made the decision to come forward and claim that they had confirmed she had been dropped off at the airport and I think by doing that it caused people who may have been close to him to not be paying attention to him and for people to not check information they may have had or their connections with him.

When I reference money, I’m not talking about money to hand off to investigators. I’m talking about for private investigators, for awareness, for lawyers to help the family. When the silver endless girls went missing back in the 90s, their posters were everywhere around this town. Everyone knew their name and that was not the case with Ms Akens

There was a girl that was murdered around the same time, and while Spotsylvania took a victory lap about their investigation when they finally solved that case they solve that case because somebody just ran their mouth.

Plenty of residents within Spotsylvania have an issue with all that police department and investigations are run and no one looks into it because it’s a small town and because the people complaining are typically of lower income so the aren’t taken seriously

It seems like a strategy. Based on the complaint it is her sister’s testimony paired with two out cry witnesses for Katelin. There is nothing in that complaint that states any digital or physical evidence exist of the crimes so a complaint like that does not warrant tearing up an entire property which means that investigators took that complaint paired with some other piece of evidence, indicating James in the disappearance and that’s what got there so many agencies to descend on that property.

My understanding is that law-enforcement always knew there were allegations of some amount of sexual abuse towards both of the children when they were younger so this wasn’t info that was just found out and charged. They’re just using it now to do what they need to do.

Spotsylvania supposedly searched this property 10 years ago though and found no evidence Katelin was ever there - so none of this is a good look.
