Found Deceased VA - Keith Perdue, 56, car found after an accident, Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., 2 Feb 2020

This is a weird one. Reading the first few posts, I thought, OK, he had a wreck - maybe due to a medical incident - and wandered off from his vehicle. But now we have this story with the two white guys coming upon him, taking him home, going back to his car, going back to his house. Yikes. And why have they not come forward? Is this not circulating in the news locally? Because the only other reason I can think of for them not coming forward (outside of not hearing this man is missing) is a not very good reason....

I have so many questions. Here are a few. I know that we don't know these answers (I don't think).
1) Was KP still at his house when they returned with his keys? If not, and I was them, I would be a bit concerned especially if this man had seemed a bit out of it perhaps (I don't know that he did but the comments about him sometimes not knowing where he is or wrecking his car a lot make me infer that could have been the case). IDK I probably would have called police had I helped this man home after a wreck and then he disappeared. So if everything with them was on the up-and-up, I'd assume he WAS still at home when they returned and then they left and everything was normal. Meaning he went missing from home sometime after around 930ish?

2) Where was he/what was he doing the rest of the day after leaving the friend's house at 1030AM? Where he was driving to or from when he wrecked? What kind of a wreck was it? Why did neither he nor the "good sams" call for at least a tow if the car was undriveable?

I don't even know what to think here, really.

I'm beginning to think that Keith Perdue knew the two "good sams" who assisted him after his car wreck. They did not report the accident. It was reported by the passerby driver. Why have these two not come forward?

I'm also thinking that alcohol was involved in the accident.

While searchers were looking around Perdue's home on February 16, investigators spoke to witnesses who told them two men had walked Perdue to his home after his car hit a tree up the road. They hadn't heard from the men until Monday morning.

Investigators said the man who assisted Perdue to his home contacted them Monday morning to say he doesn't live in the area, but visits his family who does. He confirmed all of the information provided to investigators from the witnesses but added that he offered to call Perdue medical help or a family member after the crash, but Perdue declined.
