GUILTY VA - Meghan Landowski, 16, raped & murdered, Portsmouth, 10 April 2008 #2

I have filed the "forced to hold my bleeding hand over her body" story in the same drawer as "the nanny kidnapped my little girl".

I see the justice for Meghan blogspot is only open to registered readers (you have to give them your email address) now.

If they're trying to get the word out that RB is innocent why would they do that?

I noticed that too. It seems they named the webiste incorrectly. It should be Justice for Robert because that seems to be the tone of their blog. :)

Just like praying that Meghan's murderer be caught and bought to justice, prayers need to go out that the real killer or killers be bought to justice. If you look at any kids myspace page, they are typical jokesters/pranksters. Just like with the navy guy, don't rush to judgement. The workings of the Portsmouth PD. How many murders have they solved lately? And what was the publics feelings about them before they supposedly solved this case? And what is the publics reaction to them now? When the pressure is on, you have to do what you have to do. "They solved the case"!? I really do pray for Meghan's family and friends and can only imagine what they're going through and has been through. I know it's not an easy road. My prayers are constantly with them always. My prayers also go out to the young man ACCUSED of the crime. Can you imagine 8-9 hours of grilling by the PPD (the ones everyone hated, but now they love) without an attorney present. That poor young man probably got tripped up all kinds of ways. But all in all, God has the final say no matter what the outcome. Some people use only their heads, some use only their hearts, but God wants us to use both.
JUSTICE FOR MEGHAN!

If they suspect a minor of a crime they can not question him without an adult present.

"The letter stated Robert (the 17 year-old suspect) received a phone call telling him to go to Meghan's house to comfort her and that he should climb through her back window. It says he climbed through the back window and there was a white man wearing a mask already in the house. The letter states the masked man slashed Meghan's throat and cut Robert's hand and made Robert hold the knife so his fingerprints would be on it."

Quoted from WAVY's website.

So what part of a rational intelligent person when called on the phone and told that "hey, so and so is feeling a little down, you should go over, sneak in her window and comfort her" says... "Hmmmm. Great Idea! I'm on my way." Those that believe that and will do that also believe that Santa Clause just made me an Egg Salad sandwich and the Easter Bunny is driving me around in a Limo made of Marshmellows.

Next there's going to be a one-armed man, and a guy with one red shoe involved somehow.

This doesn't make a bit of sense.

If you were being set up to take the fall for a murder in such a bizarre manner, wouldn't you tell your mother or someone?!

Exactly my thoughts.

I have been watching this closely since this arrest, Am I the only person that does not see a single motive on behalf of this kid? This scenario does not gazhinta for me at all.

Blink~
I have also wondered about a motive. I believe LE have a motive and will release it as needed. I am wondering if theft could have been the motive?

Well, the painted scenario from wavy doesn't make sense at all, and that's being polite frankly I think it's an offensive assault on intelligence. As far as motive from this kid, since we know about nothing other than his name and they went to school together, it's hard to tell without more information.

Nope. Why steal when he knew she was home, he enters her bedroom window specifically.

My thoughts:
1)There is no DNA match, yet. The warrant for med records is dated 9-11-08. Assuming they got his records from this facility, it would not include a DNA profile, blood type probably. They would not be able to order a DNA test on this kid, as a minor, or otherwise without a court order or consent.

2)If they have his prints and his DNA- he has priors, period. In the state of VA anyone that is arrestd the state can opt to keep their DNA profile on record as I understand it. Still, no indication this is the case.

3)As of 9/11, Cops are still asking Public for help, issuing warrants for med records in a general way with no description of a suspect whatsoever. From then until now, something connected this kid in a big way to ML. Friends are even saying they were not aware they knew each other.

4) This was a premeditated, viciously brutal attack. A 16 year old violinist
shimmies into the bedroom window on a 1/2 day from school, in broad daylight binds and repeatedly stabs a classmate and LE does not so much look at him for 6 months? I smell CI, or another person cutting a deal.

The first couple entries made today are in regards to the fliers.

I don't think theft was the motive either. I think he targeted her specifically - IF he is killer. Innocent until proven guilty.

Has LE released info. about the window?

Sorry to be so uninformed but what is CI?

The Virginian-Pilot obtained the warrant from a public file during routine court checks, and its contents were published Thursday afternoon on PilotOnline.com. Later, public safety officials said the warrant was supposed to have been sealed and that it was made available in error. They asked that the story be withdrawn.

Pilot Editor Denis Finley said the story was not withdrawn because once published on the Internet the information cannot be retrieved or stricken. Further, he said, the story about the killing of a 16-year-old girl has been one of compelling public interest.

This makes more sense to me now, and also to the point about a possible informant. They knew it was a matter of time before he (suspect) was going to be caught if there was blood evidence; maybe someone pointed the finger first?

Also- why the he** would this kids family shove flyers in mailboxes admitting he was at the house under any circumstances?

Why do I totally know this kid is going to eventually come up with a high profile attorney?

Why would someone call him and tell him to go comfort her? If he wasn't friends with her why would he go? And why would he climb in a window to comfort her? If someone did call him that means both Meghan and him were targeted. Why would they both be targeted?

It has been report during the investigation his name came up several times..also if someone did call him there should be phone records for the day and the number it came from ..why didn't he go to police? why didn't he tell someone he trusted mother father teacher? and why didn't the mask man kill him make it look like a suicide? seems easy to find out who called him by searching the phone records for that day around that time period....I don't want a innocent person convicted but i don't want a gulity one set free without these answer's ..

  • #318
I don't want an innocent person convicted either. I don't think anyone does whether it means six more months of investigating or not. I just don't find the story that his defenders are telling as believable. If he's such a nice, sweet, caring guy I find it hard to believe also that he wouldn't have gone to someone like jeepgirl said and confided in them. If that's how it happened then he was a victim too, why be scared to tell the truth.

The only reason I can come up with that he would tell this story is because he knows his blood is there, he knows the DNA will match...what other excuse could he come up with?

If he had a cut to his hand (like he claims the murderer forced him to do) wouldn't people at school notice when he played the violin that he had a cut on his hand?
