Thanks for posting the pictures. The little plastic doll in the picture was put there by one of Meghan's best friends. She said it looked like Meghan (it was so sweet). I was at the Memorial Walk for Meghan and I think the tree was such a good idea so people have a place to go to remember her.

I just wonder if Mr. Barnes was at the walk??? :waitasec:

Apparently Robert Barnes has secured the same lawyer that Mike Vick had and the lawyer was unable to attend court today.

It seems Robert Barnes may have talked with someone about Meghan's murder. I'm not sure if they mean he just discussed it like we are here or if maybe he confided in someone.

I know two college students that know Robert through music. I hope it's neither of them.

The VA Pilot also has an article about the four warrants...are there penalties for having knowledge like this and not taking it to the police? How could someone keep this to themselves? I don't understand at all.

This had came out on another site I was reading concerning this case ,,,comments were posted on a facebook account (a friend of Roberts)that Robert had told the person that he was going to see Meghan the day of the murder....I am wondering if this is what they are looking for I would have thought that LE already had Robert's myspace and facebook pages...

Great find EE, but what a hateful site that seems to be. I looked around a lil, and it was enough to let me know not to return to that site again. I dont live my life or raise my kids in a black/white world.

What a shame that ugly sites like this drag young innocent kids like Meghan into them. Im sorry they used her killing as an article for their hatred.

That is interesting about the warrants, Elsie! Especially this part:

"Shutt also requested all information from a college student's MySpace page, saying the young woman might have information pertaining to the slaying. Investigators also requested a fourth search warrant in Harrisonburg to get computer records from the campus system for the same college student, she said."


I wonder who the college student is that would be privy to the information? I don't understand someone withholding that information from LE either..

If you go to this site and read the comments from Brandon he has been commenting on the case since Barnes arrest...Brandon went to school with Barnes and talks about facebook comments from Barnes bestfriend.

I think this young lady just knew Robert through Churchland High School and the magnet program. I don't think she has actual knowledge that Robert murdered Meghan. I think it may be only the information that jeepgirlva mentioned (that Robert had planned to go to Meghan's house that day). That's JMO though.

ITA She has now responded on another forum that she wants everyone to stop talking about it and she and her family and Roberts family will not stop until he gets out.... I saw another forum she said that the community has raised money for Robert's lawyer I wonder if it is Michael Vicks lawyer...

What community? I don't think anyone in my community would raise money for him. I don't see anyone in the Churchland community saying they know he's innocent and raising money for his defense. It must be the "community" that that weirdo Peter whatshisname heads up. I can't remember his last name; maybe Stinson.

You know, if this kid is innocent he deserves help but I just don't see anything to make me think that he is. I haven't heard an alibi as to where he was. The only thing I've heard is that cockamamie story he told about the man with the mask forcing him to cut himself with the knife. IF that actually happened how could he go on like he did? He didn't act any differently after all this supposedly happened. He didn't confess to a friend, his mother, etc. that he had been forced to be a part of his friend Meghan's murder.

If the girl that said this is the one I think it is, I thought she was smarter than that, her parents too. I think maybe Robert had a lot of people snowed.

I've seen this one girl post on topix (she & Brandon have gone at it about this issue) that she knew that Robert was innocent because he called her before he went to her house. If you go to the topix site & search for Meghan it is all posted for everyone to see. Everyone came down on her about having knowledge & not contacting the police about it. Her posts show a Harrisonburg location for the isp she posts from...I would think this would be the girl in the warrants. The Barnes family posted at the blog site Justice for Meghan that they were trying to get $$ to hire the attorney that Mike Vick used...now the blog is blocked and can only be accessed by people that belong to it.

Ya know, its kind of ironinc. The 'supporters' for this young man are shouting as loud as possible that he is innocent and they are going to get the best lawyer (MV's lawyer lost, btw), but anyways, he is prominent. Every site Ive read, including this one, has friends of his who will defend him until the end,and that is what we often do when its someone we love and dont want to believe they could snap and hurt someone. I just dont like when the negative words come back and somehow Meghan for this foolish murder.

This young man has a lot of evidence against him from his MS alone, IMO, and I KNOW that the PPD would not arrest a juvenile without a sealed-tight case. In this day and age, they seal them tight and take their time- double jeopardy just wont be happening here.
