What to do, what to do?

CAgirl- It seems like the only thing that we can do as WS'ers is keep writing those letters. For what ever reason the family is not SCREAMING to the media (no offence to the family for their reasons, please), we seem to be her only chance at getting media attention. I wonder what type of hold/scare tactic this SOB is using on the family Something hasn't been right here since the get go!!

Anyone disgaree?

Maybe we've spent too much time discussing the Navy guy. Maybe there are other people that should be looked at.

What scares me more is what if it was a classmate, a neighbor, or just some random person? Whoever it was they need to be found and taken off the streets (off the planet if I had my way).

I keep thinking back to the friends who said she was afraid that day i believe those girls-why more than one girl it said it and a good detective should be able to interview these girls to find out if they are lying Why because this is a very important piece of evidence if true Meghan had recent contact with the person who murdered her. And I agree LE needs to look in other directions beside the Navy dude.

I agree also, but from their lack of releasing ANY information, it makes me wonder what is really going on.

Also, I asked before, and I dont remember anyone answering - Wasnt Navy guy caught with child porn (IIRC, some had Meghan in them)? Isnt that punishable by law in VA? It is in CA and any other place I have heard of.

I wonder if there is maybe some child porn ring they are checking out? Something just doesnt flow-

BTW- I am still sending out emails for Meghan and 2 other cases I am helping on- It can only help, not hurt- If you have already, you can use your same email and re-send it- We just want to get her name out there!!

I went back and read the news report it said police seized electronic media from Hicke's home with images of child porn it did not mention it being images of Meghan and yes I do believe that is breaking the law don't understand why he is not in jail Also mention there was a prior incident between Meghan and Hicke. It might help if LE brought in a fresh pair of eyes to review this case to see what they are missing.

LE and the press has already tucked Meghans case and Lt Cox's case neatly away in the cold case file. The press has no interest in pursuing their cases because to do so might upset LE or maybe the real estate sales people would pull some advertising money from them because to draw attention to a very incompetent LE would chase away a sale or two. If the media or LE were concerned about public safety, these murders would be on the front page everyday until they are solved. In another eight months both these murders will be no closer to solved than they are right now. It's just a sad fact.

I have to agree with you Mike. I just don't understand the family's silence. From what I understand (and it's my opinion from things I've heard) is that this isn't even being talked about by LE. You know even if they were trying to be tight lipped in order not to hamper the investigation SOMETHING would leak. I've heard absolutely nothing, not even rumors.

My stepchildren live in this neighborhood and she, or her friends, even knew about this. :throws up hands: I wish there was noticeable progress in this case.

I know the family just left, I was looking on her memorial site and notice that her BIO -DAD's famil were not told until the end of june about Meghan's death her GMother ,Aunt and Uncle all left loving messages expressing memories they have of Meghan.

I am at work now, but will have to check that out later! OMG- I think that speaks VOLUMES!! Even if they are mad at bio dad, what a thing to do to the parents- Why didnt he tell them himself?

Did anyone ever verify HOW Meghan knew Hicke? First it was reported that he was a friend of bio dad, but later I remember hearing it was step-dad's friend-
If he is bio's friend, I can understnad the animosity. I wish mom had a strong support system/voice to stand up and SHOUT to the media from day 1!! Maybe she is intimdated by cameras, media,etc. This young girl could have gotten the media attention it deserves if there was more said at the time of death, IMO.

I also am a very shy person and would not like the media in my face so I can understand that part,but if this was my daughter and LE was letting the case go cold I would have to speak out. I'm not sure how she met Hicke I know he is in the military and so is her step-dad but it has never been released in the media how she met him. The media has been very hush hush about this case very little has been released such as the cause of death. Hicke must have an air tight albi and The DNA must not match him. Per media Meghans and Hicke My space records were requested must not have been anything in them to link him or anybody else to her murder. I think LE needs to start over from scratch and go over every piece of evidence with a fine tooth comb there has got to be an answer in there somewhere,and interview her friends again they may know something that they wouldn't think was important but could be very important to unlocking this case, they need to go over all phone records to see who she was talking with and why she was afraid to go home. The night of the murder the kids were posting bulletins on My Space with her name and Cause of Death It's possible that the kids knew LE or the parents are LE or thier parents friends were LE I'm not trying to suggest they had anything to do with her murder but they knew before it was released in the media.

I talked to a reporter from the pilot today about my break in on roberts ct and we got on the subject of Meghan . She said she didnt think the navy guy was a main suspect he might be involved in some way . they are going to be doing a follow up soon on it I hope they get the fbi or someone involved if the local police cant solve it.

Dang it!!!! I got so excited when I saw that there was an update on this case. I have been so burdened with this case and with the Coralrose Fullwood case! I thought it would be wonderful if BOTH cases had the beginning of some closure today. I am SO happy to know that Coralrose's killer was identified thru DNA. I just can't help but believe that whoever murdered little Meghan will eventually be brought to justice. The wheels of justice sometimes grind slow, but they grind forward, none the less.

Just wanted to stop in to say that although I am up to my bippy in the Caylee Anthony case, I think of Meghan and check on her case daily. I have been vocal about asking people to wait it out and believe that a greater investigation is at work here. I still believe that, however, I also feel compelled to renew my research on this case as I am concerned about the amount of time that has elapsed.
I have opened a file on Meghan, if I find anything noteworthy, I'll be posting.

That being said, anyone forward any correspondance or emails regarding this case as I read earlier in the thread? Pease post, dont want to duplicate effort.

Hope everything is well with you this evening. I am STILL emailing letters twice a week to the email list that I posted above. Are you saying that you would like a copy of the email that I send? TBH, I have two versions I have been using. Both center on Meghan, but the other includes Lt Cox and the PPD/NCIS. Im just confused (not hard to do...lol) on what you would like a copy of. I think a few other people are emailing along with me (I hope rayer: ).

This case really bothers me. This young girl was such a cute, sunny girl with a great attitude (from what we have seen and heard). She already suffered enough being molested, and now this. It just doesnt seem fair! I honestly can't believe the lack of media coverage that her case has received. I NEVER heard about it in the media, and Im in CA. Her murder caught me from the beginning, and Im in with you on re-focusing on the facts/clues. We have to be missing something, especially from what 757 heard from the pilot reporter! What a shame!

It was nice to see this morning that the sign at the strip mall where she took dance lessons still has the "We love you Meghan" up.

I've always wondered if the Navy guy paid someone to do this. If he was someone from another state or someone in the Navy he could be long gone by now.

Like the rest of you, I don't understand why we haven't heard some charges against Lt. Hicke for the child porn found on his computer.

I work with a lady whose daughter danced with Meghan and she said Meghan was very a very sweet caring child well liked by her daughter and others ....and a Very good dancer she had been invited to join a group of the best dancers...everything I've heard about her she was a delightful sweet young lady.
