GUILTY VA - Meghan Landowski, 16, raped & murdered, Portsmouth, 10 April 2008 #2

He has not been charged YET but Meghan will see the justice that she deserves (she is always with us). It is because of Meghan that NCIS found the 🤬🤬🤬🤬....and about them not being able to proscecute him on Meghan's behalf....don't be so sure about that...just wait to see what happens next.

I really do hope that what I was told in reference to Lt. RH is wrong. I believe he should pay for the crime he committed against Meghan. I do not feel that he should get off the hook just because she is deceased. When I heard that he would not be prosecuted, it made me sick to my stomach.

Although he has a wife and children, while I feel sad for his family, however I have to think it might come as a relief for the children if they were victimized. Some people feel that biological fathers would never hurt their children in that way, but I tend to disagree. In fact, I believe that is why they target their own kids because clearly they are sick as it is and most people would never suspect they would hurt their children.

Anyway, didn't mean to go off on a tagent...does anyone know when the trial is set for R. Barnes?

Bumping for Meghan.

I understand that the accused is supposed to be able to face their accuser in court but it really is unfair that he will get away with what he did just because Megan is deceased...murdered. If she had lived she would have faced him in court. It just seems like he should still be punished. So darn unfair.

I would think, if sworn statements were available and there was other evidence, that prosecution could proceed....afterall, if you could get out of prosecution by killing (or someone else killing) a witness or victim.....wouldn't that possibly encourage such behavior?

Links to a story with similarities ... a child who had been repeatedly molested by her step-father was killed in a traffic accident before the case went to court. The defense has seemingly endless excuses to postphone trial while they endeavor to have the whole matter dismissed. I am sure the laws vary from state to state, but there is enough gray area for clever lawyer$ to bounce it around while filling their pocket$.... It's a disgusting situation:

(From here, there are several other links... while you are there, write some letters on behalf of Becca's memory. Check laws in your own state; stricter legislation would be a great way to honor these children.)

As we near Christmas day, I can't help but to think of Meghan's family at this time this year. This will be their first Christmas without Meghan. I can only imagine how the family must feel at this joyous day and yet one person is missing from the picture...Meghan.

I just wanted to share my thoughts for her family.

I hope each and everyone of you have a Merry Christmas/Hannukkah/Kwanzaa or whatever you celebrate.

Just saw this myself on Pilotonline. I also believe the friend is Emily...they did say it was the same friend as before at James Madison. Emily confirmed on another site a while back that she was the friend in question.

Thought I would share something I stumbled on. I had seen where Emily said her mother worked with the Commonweath Attorney and thought to myself "Wow! How could her mother allow her to post this stuff if it has the potential to affect the case"...but check out THIS gem on the kind of work her mother does with the CA...

From Topix:

Monday Dec 1
Selling the Commonwealth Attorney a house doesn't constitute working with him/her. Your mother is a real estate agent....

I wonder though if she's only guilty of knowing that he was at Meghan's house that day? While it doesn't absolve her of any wrongdoing it's different than if he confessed to her or even told her before the act what his intentions are and she didn't notify the police.

I think Emily's only fault is that she has taken the side of her friend and not told LE what she should. JMO

In my humble opinion, if Emily knew that Robert was at Meghan's house on the day she was murdered, that makes Emily an accessory after the fact. Especially since she didn't tell LE that she knew this little bit of info.

Given that she's been interviewed by the police already, and I cannot imagine they did not ask her that question, it could quite easily be obstruction. Of course, I am not a lawyer or a LEO, but it would stand to reason.

Just to let everyone know.....the supression hearing for Meghan's case is next Wednesday the 21st. This will determine what evidence will be allowed in trial. I really don't think he has a case but he can try....good luck. I think this hearing is just for the Lawyers and not the public.

I think they should put him in prison and give Meghan's family the key. They should also paint Meghan's picture on his cell wall so he can look at her every day and know what a beautiful life he took away...but that is just my opinion.

I'm not sure looking at Meghan's picture would cause him any grief. Look how he went on with his life after he murdered her. Maybe a few videos or pictures of him and what he threw away, that might make him cry.

I don't think he has an alibi either. At least not one that would stand up in court.
