Thanks Waddles. As with any case, there is a lot of misinformation out there floating in cyberspace.

:waitasec: Hi Olive- I think you're referring to Dee, DS. She was seen on multiple videos with her boyfriend and his friends at the concert, right through to the end. But DS was never kicked out of the concert. They then met up briefly with MH's friends at the end of the concert as they all know each other-at which time MH's friends said to her that they were missing someone in their party. She emailed me personally and was sincere and forthcoming. She was just stunned at how she got mixed up in it all.

Waddles, are you friends with Dee, DS, in this case? I had no idea, you could be helping us get inside info!
Why did she email you?
Do you know if Morgan was to meet up with a guy at the concert and who he was?

I don’t think any of the group has retained a lawyer and that speaks volumes about what LE thinks (or doesn’t think). If any of the girls had a lawyer it would be in the news. The representing attorney would see to that just for the publicity.

We don't know if they have consulted attorneys. JMO: Most attorneys would be discrete at this point in time. How would extra publicity help their case? Very unlikely the girls would face any type of criminal charges.

anyone else think its weird the name of the guy at the concert hasnt circulated? i mean that seems like easy gossip that would have gotten around by now.

It may come down to who the bf (of the friend) is... It wouldn't be the first time that someones last name has kept them out of the media. Could be the bf's family is connected.

Like others, I think the details such as coat and purse can help us to put the pieces together.

On the coat:
If MH was planning on meeting up with someone outside the arena, it would seem logical that she would have brought her coat inside the show so she could wear it outside for her meet-up. So does that suggest that she was NOT planning on a rendevous. Or was she (like so many young women) willing to forgo the warmth of the coat in order to look cute. I wonder if she brought a coat along from JMU to UVA. If she did, I think that alludes to the fact that she didn't intend to go outside during mid-show. Does anyone know much about a coat or jacket???

On the purse:
Say that she was expecting somebody to pick her up outside during the concert. If it was somebody who she had no business being with, that could account for the vague telephone conversation. Has anyone brought up the possibility that she could have been involved with a married man? There is no way she would want her friends and parents to catch wind of that! If he (or whatever sketchy person she had prearranged a meeting with) decided that MH was a liability to them, and decided to kill her that night; it would make sense that they would leave the purse outside the stadium in order to throw investigators off. To make it look like a stranger abduction.

My (and perhaps your) main question is why she went outside that arena. I think that might be critical to unraveling this.

Walker, the attorneys would likely run to the press in a heartbeat. Think about the other missing person’s cases you see on Nancy Grace and the like. It has nothing to do with helping their case but rather helping their image and law firm. Often times the lawyers are working gratis just for the publicity with a high profile cases like this. I am from Roanoke and have friends there who are lawyers and in LE (although they have nothing to do with this investigation); the families have not retained attorneys as of yet. No way to know if they’ve consulted one, but none have been hired.

As far as the coat is concerned I don't think she would take it in because remember she and her mother decided on that backpack purse so she would not have to worry about leaving a purse in her seat..she was hands free for the evening. Plus everybody said how hot those concerts are. I think whoever she was to meet was to pick her up right outside the door. When they didn't appear she tried to get inside. From there who knows. But I am sure she never expected to be wandering around in 46 degree weather for an hour.

I personally have my own ideas on who was supposed to meet her and what happened but prefer to keep them to myself. It all goes back to the six months before. Think of what happened then, who said what, who left and who returned? That is all the clues to my thoughts I care to give at this time.

What happened six months before? Am I missing something?

I would like to know too. If it's something that may help the investigation why hold it back?
All i know that happened 6 months ago is Morgan's father had bought the concert tickets which remained on the fridge for 6 months.
Who left and who came back?

Morgan also was to have quit smoking 6 months ago, whether she did or not. There was a smoking section inside the arena, not to mention she may have got away with smoking in her seat had she wanted to.
Most likely she went outside to meet someone, when they didn't show she attempted to get back inside the arena to know avail. Her friends told her different entry points to try.

I second that!

Honeybun1807, how did u know MOrgan and her Mom decided on which purse to wear? WHere's the link to this info? R u implying you know the Harrington's or work with LE?

Ok, this is a bit remote, but given that she's still missing, it might be worth considering...

Perhaps someone who knows the area could tell us - if one continues in the direction she was last seen walking (on the bridge) - are their any gay establishments (bars, college clubs, etc) in the area?

What I'm thinking... her brother previously lived/attended school in the area, and given his career, at a minimum would have been familiar with that community. If his sister knew of such a place nearby, she might have considered it to be a place of safety - especially if she'd already been mugged and had her purse taken? It's even possible that she might have expected to find someone there she knew who might either let her crash at their place for the night or take her home. Of course, something easily could have happened to her before she got there.

I still suspect she might have been tossed out of the arena. She had a minor injury to her face - could she have been thrown out for getting into a scuffle with someone? Or could she have stumbled, injured herself and also spilled beer on her, and been tossed because security saw her/smelled it and added 2 plus 2 and decided she was soused? Given her disappearance, the arena is not going to admit they tossed her if they can possibly avoid it.

There was an article stating the Morgan's mom helped her pick out her outfit for that night, floating around somewhere. Here is one:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33480916/ns/today-today_people/
"On Saturday, Oct. 17, Morgan Harrington spent the day at home planning with her mother what she was going to wear to the Metallica concert she planned to attend at the University of Virginia."

The purse is described in this one:

"Rader described her purse as black in color and the type that has two straps and can also be carried as a backpack. "

Morgans purse was discussed in great detail on the Dr. Phil show. I found it on youtube and you might enjoy watching it. Very interesting what Gil had to say about that purse.

No I do not know the Harringtons..only of their loss of Morgan. I am not with LE.

The meeting someone is the part that I don’t get (actually one of many parts of this whole story). Why after six months of anticipation of a concert and it is finally here and you are so excited to go you make plans to meet someone there and leave. Makes no sense…

My thoughts on that are these. Six months in the life of a young woman is a long time. Things change, plans change. Things you once wanted and looked forward too are different now. Perhaps her mind or heart were someplace else.

Hi all. I am in Blacksburg for the next week. Today I went to the VT/NC State game. At least twice during the game they put up Morgan's pic and info on the scoreboard video screen. Both times it got real quiet in the stadium, I know people noticed.

Sitting directly behind me was a pair of men who began discussing the case. One said he is LE from Roanoke. The other man wasn't all that familiar with the case and the LE guy was telling him about it. He didn't really say anything that we don't already know... except one weird thing twice he referred to her found belongings as "wallet and cellphone" rather than "purse" or "pocketbook". I just chalked this up to being a man and mispeaking. The other thing that was interesting is he said that LE has found NO video footage showing her in, around, outside etc the venue or anyplace else... all they have is eyewitness accounts. According to him, she never shows up on any camera anyplace that LE has looked.

I know at various points we've speculated that there could be video footage of Morgan that has not been released. He said he has a mutual friend with the Harrington family so he's been following it but there's just not much there for LE to go on. He said its "like she just disappeared".

Thank you so much for the link honeybun! I wish I had watched it before, but I just can't stand "Dr" phil.

I think I'm going to go back and reread all the previous threads and see what else I may have missed.:blushing:

I have a candle burning tonight for Morgan and praying for her return.

That is so true...an excellent point. However, why didn't she try to sell her ticket on ebay or craig's list if she had no intentions of going?
