You should be honored....you deserve it!!!!! In this day and age it is hard to find anyone respectful, especially if they don't agree with you...but as I said before, whether anyone disagrees with you or not you still remain respectful...I read comments and threads that I NEVER respond to, but I have not YET seen you be disrespectful to anyone.
much love and respect to u always,

Big VA Tech fan here. I am so sad by the allegations.
However, I would love to see my dog chew this toy.
Even I'll be a VA Tech fan this season after what you guys endured a few months ago. :(

If I had a dog, I'd buy a bunch of those toys!!

I am sure though, that you are loved and/or respected by more of us than others... I don't really know that I am loved by many at all, but I love and respect you for thinking so...and I am still holding out for DS as favorite poster of the month.......and/or year...if anyone deserves it you do.
You're TOO kind for words.

Buzz did you hear that Leno said the only way Vick will be acquitted is if he has a jury of cats.
LOL JBeanya, that's a good one. The November trial can't come any too soon for me.

Oh my!!! This chew toy is awesome!! I want to get one for our english bulldog-I'm sure she'd tear it to shreds regardless of it's durability. Hopefully I can get one and take pics of the "finished product" LOL

Hello, MissieMt ...

I also have an English Bulldog. Talk about a power chewer!! I can hardly keep a toy he doesn't demolish! The nylabone and one other are the only ones that have withstood my Harley so far.

I think I'll buy me a few of these Vick chew toys, too. Harley will have a field day!

Aren't they the greatest?! But they certainly are chewers! We had to take her nylabone away because she ended up actually eating some of it! Now she can only have chew toys under close supervision-and it's not long before we have to take them away, poor baby.

For all those that say blacks are quick to play the race card, they need to read the Jena 6 thread here as WS. I am shocked this thread, started weeks ago has had only 7 posts!!! Seems to make the point many are arguing about Vick...it's big news because he's famous and black. I have never seen anything about the Jena 6 case on the news to likes of Vick. It shows what I stated earlier...the media is making a big deal of MV...and keeping the sh*t up. What's going on in Jana, LA is MORE troubling and ugly and even on this board it seems no one wants to discuss it. Why? Because it's not blacks that can be villianized? Yes, MV is an a$$hole for fighting these dogs...but what about the white kids hanging nooses from trees on school property. Blacks view it as a "hate crime" and why are whites saying it was just a "prank"? There is a clear difference of perception. Same as in the Vick case. A noose hanging from a tree has the same connotation as the swastika. Both are symbols of intolerance, horror, injustice, human depravity and murder.

Why are black students charged with attempted murder for beating a white kid who had no serious injury, but whites who beat a black kid got charged with simple battery in Jena? So why do blacks sometimes play the race card? Is it to maybe even the field of the judicial system, and to draw attention to their cases so that they CAN get a fair trial? What's happening in Jena is nothing new...happens everyday, everywhere in our judicial system. From the lack of posts it seems everyone already knows it, and nobody really cares, it's not news. A discussion on racism is definately is in order on the Jena 6 thread not this one. MV crimes were not based on his race.

Even Now, Amazon Defends Animal Fighting!

Dear Buzz,

Amazon is the main distribution channel for these cockfighting magazines. Tell Amazon to stop fighting for animal fighting.

In the wake of the high-profile indictment of Michael Vick, the nation has been awakened to the cruelty of animal fighting. Members of Congress, corporate leaders, and people like you are speaking out. And Louisiana and New Mexico enacted laws this year to outlaw cockfighting -- the last two states to join the fold.

Online retailer Amazon is now in the lonely position of promoting animal fighting activities. It's the only online retailer of subscriptions to animal fighting magazines in the United States, and these magazines advertise the sale of fighting animals and cockfighting weapons -- sales made illegal by federal law! The Feathered Warrior even advertised fighting dogs from a dogfighter whose operation makes the enterprise described in the Michael Vick indictment look like a bunch of amateurs.

This nonsense from Amazon must stop -- tell them so right now.

https://community.hsus.org/campaign/US_2007_amazon_fighting3?rk=ep2Uqo51R8-dE

Amazon sells subscriptions to cockfighting magazines like The Gamecock and The Feathered Warrior and claims the right to sell dogfighting videos. These materials are not only offensive because of the cruelty they glorify, but their shipment is also a federal felony under the recently-enacted Animal Fighting Prohibition Enforcement Act.

Amazon claims that its commercial sale of these publications is protected by the First Amendment. But the First Amendment does not protect companies advertising illegal contraband, and that's exactly what the magazines sold by Amazon are doing.

Dogs and chickens suffer grievous injuries or death in fights produced for depraved fun and shameful profit. Please ask Amazon right now to stop selling animal fighting magazines. And don't forget to tell your friends and family how they can help, too.

Thank you for all you do for animals.

Sincerely,

Wayne Pacelle

Vick contemplating plea deal, report says

MSNBC News Services
Updated: 1 hour, 26 minutes ago

With the two remaining co-defendants in Michael Vick’s federal dogfighting case scheduling hearings to enter plea agreements, the controversial Atlanta Falcons quarterback reportedly was weighing his options Monday concerning a plea bargain.

Two of Vick's attorneys, Larry Woodward and Billy Martin, met with federal prosecutor Michael Gill and the investigators on Monday afternoon, ESPN reported Monday. The attorneys planned to speak with the quarterback in the evening to see what direction he wants to go in, ESPN reported.
A source close to the investigation told ESPN that Vick has until Friday to make up his mind whether to accept a plea agreement. Otherwise a superseding indictment will be filed and Vick will face at least two more federal dogfighting charges.

Purnell Peace, 35, of Virginia Beach, is set to appear in federal court in Richmond on Thursday and Quanis Phillips, 28, of Atlanta, on Friday.
Last month, another original co-defendant, Tony Taylor, pleaded guilty to his role in a dogfighting conspiracy he says was financed almost entirely by the Atlanta Falcons quarterback.

Collins R. Spencer III, a spokesman for Vick’s defense team, said the lawyers were surprised by the plea deals. He said although they assumed the two agreed to cooperate with prosecutors, it would not affect the way Vick’s lawyers proceed.

“We’re moving forward with taking the case to trial on Nov. 26,” he said.

All the talk is that Vick will be suspended for the year. Good. I hope we don't see that Vick is fined and let off with a slap on the hands for what he did. Vick has too much money for a fine to make any kind of impression on him.

  • #437
If a one year suspension is all he gets, I'm disappointed. Agreed a fine won't hurt his pockets. I am thrilled his buddies in this are giving info against Vick.

  • #438
He needs to have his dog abusing arse locked up for a few years. In a cold, lonely, damp jail that serves crappy food and has rough toilet paper.

  • #439
WTF? Let that 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 have his day in court!

Question, if he accepts a plea deal isn't that essentially admitting guilt? Can the NFL suspend him indefinitely after that?

There's probably already a thread for this but I couldnt find it.

  • #440
I don't think that he will accept it. I could be wrong, though. I think that he can be suspended even if he doesn't accept the deal (not sure, though).
